My Protector

Chapter 3

"Wow , dude , what are you doing ?" I ask , panicking slightly as Raleigh takes off down the road at high speed .

He doesn't answer me . I try the door handle , locked . Same for the windows .

"Where are we going ?" I beg .

Raleigh yanks harshly on the wheel and we spin left . I don't expect him to answer and I'm surprised when he does .

"Somewhere safe " he mutters .

"Safe?" I shriek "safe? you bloody kidnapped me ! "

"I know " he says .

"You know ?! I'm going to f*cking kill you " I say getting out if my seat and reaching in between the seats , prepared to hurt this guy in anyway possible .

" Ky " Raleigh says , not taking his eyes of the road .

"What?" I ask momentarily confused .

"Whose Ky?"

"Me" a voice says next to me . I turn around to see a blonde haired boy , he grabs me and pulls me back on my seat .

I shriek again and start fighting back .

"DONT TOUCH ME!"

"She's a fighter" Ky says laughing , not even remotely bothered by my fighting .

"That's a good thing , right?" Raleigh shouts taking another sharp left turn .

Suddenly the car stops and I lurch forward unwillingly .

"WOW" Ky says pulling me back .

"C'mon love " the car doors click and Ky opens them .

I'm yanked out harshly and the night air rushes to my face , making my ears burn red and my eyes fill with water .

"Are you crying ?" Raleigh asks .

"No" I say stubbornly " and if I was , which I'm not , I would have every reason to be ."

"Riiiiiight" Raleigh says. I growl and look away .

"C'mon babe , this way ." Ky says pushing me forward . I look up and see that in front of me is the biggest castle I have ever seen . it's made of black stone and has huge towers . It's your traditional Kingdom castle .

Ky grabs my arms and yanks me forward .

"Let me go , twat ." I say shaking him off. He holds his hands up in surrender and I take that opportunity to turn around and flee .

I grin into the night wind as I run faster down to the gates . Then I hear a loud swoosh , that nearly shatters my eardrum and Raleigh is stood directly in front of me and I crash straight into him .

"How the hell did you do that ?" I tell as he grabs me by my arms .

"Oh don't play stupid , your really pissing me off now " he hisses .

I'm not playing stupid , tell me what the F*ck I'm doing here and why you kidnapped me !" I roar whipping round to face him .

He stares deep into my eyes for a long time .

"Well?" I say impatiently .

"You really don't know ?"he whispers .

I raise an eyebrow making the answer to his question perfectly clear . No . no I don't know .

Suddenly my knees give out and I collapse to the floor . Raleigh stands above me , grimly as I lose all feeling and control over my limbs .

"Sorry , but I don't what a crazy dog on my hands if we tell you what you are ." Raleigh says scooping me up off the floor .

I have no control over my speech so my lips can't form the question "what?"

I'm carried inside and my eyes willingly squeeze shut as a chandelier attached to the ceiling blinds me . I open them again once I'm laid down on a sofa .

Four boys are looking at me . 2 of them are Raleigh and Ky but I'm unsure of who the other two are .

"Good God , was paralysis necessary ?"

A stranger asks .

"She doesn't know anything . Like she knows nothing ." Raleigh explains .

"D'you think it was safiya ?" Ky asks .

"The witch ? Maybe " the second stranger says with a shrug .

"I think your all crazy " I say the paralysis wearing off . I stand up swaying slightly .

"Witches ? They don't exist and I'm going home ." I look around for the front door and head towards it .

Ky is in front of me in seconds .

"Oh sorry babe ,but you can't leave . "

"Why" I growl .

"She really is her fathers daughter ." Raleigh says from behind me .

This angers me and I whip around to face him .

"What do you know about my father ?"

Raleigh looks sheepish and avoids eye contact .

"I was there when .... Vampires killed him"

Silence .
