Chapter One

"Delice, did you finish packing?" I heard my mom holler from somewhere downstairs. I yelled back a 'yes'. Do you know that in every freaking cliché movie, the girl who's going on a trip or moving can't zip up her suitcase? Well, that's happening right now.

I sat on it, jumped on it did whatever and it wasn't working. I could kill someone right now. I groaned irritatingly - rather loudly because in the same second my mom ushered to the room with a worried look on her face.

"Why are you screaming like that? You nearly gave me a heart attack." Her brows furrowed. My mother was a beautiful lady. She had long shiny smooth blond hair, that I inherited from her thankfully and a petite body.

"Can you tell this to my suitcase?" I spat. She gave me a look, and succesfully zipped up my suitcase without even trying hard.

"Patience is the key to everything," She winked, and left the room. I gawked for a couple of seconds, and then sighed and pushed my suitcase to the side of my empty room.

My pack and I were moving to somewhere deep in the woods, where less rogues could attack. My father was the Alpha of Gold River's Pack, and thought it was for our pack's safe. Yes, I have Alpha blood which is pretty amazing. We have more strenght then any ordinary wolf.

Royals by Lorde - which is my ringtone tumbled me out of my thoughts, and saw it was my best friend Olivia calling.

"Hello?"

"Hey Delice," She sing-songed. I caught a glimpse of excitement and happiness in her voice.

"Why are you so joyful?" I chuckled.

"Well... I found my mate!" She squeaked.

"Congratulations! Who is it?" I excitedly screamed.

"It's Max!" I couldn't believe my ears. Max is our best friend, we were like the three musketeers. I'm happy for them, but I'm going to be considered as the third wheel and my poor innocent eyes have to witness their lovey dovey actings. Plus, I'm pretty sure I'm not going to find my mate anytime soon.

"No way! Where is he?" I queried.

"He was over a couple of hours ago, and now he's gone packing. By the way, are you done?" She asked.

"Yes," I answered. "I'll see you later Olivia!"

"Bye!" She hung up. I threw my phone in my purse, along with some random things I am going to need for the road trip. I sprinted downstairs, and saw my lovely older brother much on some cereals. He looked like a pig. Jake is three years older then me, which means he's a twenty-year-old with a brain of a two-year-old.

"Morning piggy." I teased, pouring some milk in my panda mug. He glared at me, probably not in the mood to talk back. My dad's powerful voice boomed in the house, he was quite angry you could tell.

"No! I will not take those buses, they are very nasty and uncomfortable. I want the ones we paid for!" He yelled, his eyes turning pitch black. "You tell Lloyd to obey, or he'll know what's going to happen." He hung up, and placed his phone on the counter. He sighed, and smiled when he saw me.

"Hello, sweetheart." He grinned, and hugged me. I was a daddy's girl, he had this soft spot for me in his heart. Whenever I wanted something, I could pull off the puppy dog face and he would do it. It's not like I am a spoiled brat, it's just that every child hopes for that.

"Hey Jake." He salued. Jake quickly nodded, and kept on munching his food. "You should probably get your sister's and your mom's bag."

I smirked, and Jake glared at me again before storming upstairs.
