Chapter 1

"I walked across an empty land,

I knew the path way like the back of my hand.

I felt the earth beneath my feet, sat by the river and it made me complete.

Oh simple thing where have you gone?

Im getting old and i need something to rely on.

So tell me when your going to let me in.

Im getting tired and i need somewhere to begin.

I came across a fallen a tree i felt the branches at it where looking at me."

I walked down the path while listening to Somewhere Only We Know. Its my last day in Rosewood. Last year both of my parents died in a car crash, this year my brother is going to collage. So im going to stay with my Aunt Kelly. Its going to be hard to let this place go but Aunt Kelly has a horse farm so i guess i should be busy.

"You ready? Lucas asks.

"One more box. Then thats it." I reply.

I grab the last box along with my ipod and ear buds.

"Okay lets go." I say.

On our way i plug my buds into my ipod and start to listen to music. The worst i can expect going to Kelly's is to sleep on the couch. You can say shes rich but not really. She has 5 horses but they were a present. I own one his name is Spartan hes all black. But its hard looking at him because thats the horse my parents saved before their death.

"We are here." Lucas says in releif. Okay kiddo lets get these boxes unpacked."

Aunt Kelly comes out...

"Oh my gosh look how big you've grown Payton!" Kellys screms

"Hi Aunt Kelly. Its only been 5 years I am now almost 17."

"Ok Ok i understand lets get you into your room."

We go upstairs down the hall into a huge room. It has a keyboard, Mic, drum set, ipad, ipod, laptop, and two iphones!

"I didnt know what you liked so i didnt paint it yet but in your closet there is paint if you want to paint. And the electronics, I wasnt sure what you wanted so i got them all you can keep them all."

"Wow Kelly thanks!"

I went outside to say bye to my brother, I cried through the whole goodbye.

"Its ok kiddo i will be back. "Lucas smiles and cries a tear.

"By Lucas.. I love you." i said

"Love you too kid bye..."
