Remembering the Future

Chapter 1

    As I arrived at UCLA, I saw the best parking spot ever! As I quickly pull in I look at the car next to me. I recognize the face staring at me in aw. Oh dear God not him. It's one of my old middle school crushes. I get out to unpack my bags and he walks up to me. "Hey aren't you Nikki?" He says pointing at me. "In the flesh."  I state soon realizing  how awful it sounded. In 7th grade on the last day of school, my friends gave him my number and he never called or texted me. I knew he had a phone because he constantly looked at it on the last day. I was devastated. "It's... Good to see you. Peter by the way. Are you going here?" He asks sounding nervous af. "No duh."  I say with pure sarcasm. A girl silently walks up behind me and tazes me. I screamed and fell to the ground. It was Chloe. I've known her since 7th grade and she's been my best friend ever since my best friend, Jessica, moved. Peter laughed. Chloe walked up to him and hugged him. What the-?!?!?! "Wait did I miss something???" I ask. Chloe pulls me to the side where no one, not even Peter, can hear us. "Hey. You don't think Peter is still cute, do you?" She asks sounding very nervous. " A little.... Okay he is SO HOT!!!!!" I say basically yelling. "Dang it! How do I say this..... Him and I are... Well... We're dating...." There was a long silence. I walk over to the trunk of my car and get some of my things. As I walk to go check in, Peter yells to me "IF IT HELPS I'M IN 7B!" I roll my eyes and keep walking. I can't believe Chloe."  I get to the check in table and get all set up. "You are in dorm room 7B. I will have Ellie show you to your room."  She calls a girl over. Her name is Ellie and she has a formal outfit, blue eyes, and blonde hair. "Hello Nikki! I'm Ellie! If you have any questions just ask me! Let's go!" She says in an overly peppy voice. As we walk to my dorm I shut her out and think. 7B, 7B, 7B where have I heard that. "Your roommates name is Peter." She opens the door. 7b that's where I know it from. Peter is staying there! OMG PETER IS STAYING IN MY DORM?! I walk in the dorm and lay my stuff on the bed. Peter already has his stuff set up. I've never seen so many pictures of Chloe- And I've seen the photo albums from her childhood!
I put my things down and start to unpack. My phone buzzes.
Beck: Hey How's college?
Me: Fine I just got to my dorm. My roommate is a little creepy tho...
Beck: How so
Me: His part of the room is COVERED in pics of his gf...
Beck: His???? Ur sharing a dorm with a guy?!
Me: yea. It sucks cuz I used to have a crush on him in like 7th grade
Beck: I'm staying in LA this month. What's ur dorm # I'll be right over
Me: 7B
Beck: K I'll be right there❤
Beck is my ex. We decided to stay friends for a while. I wish we hadn't broken up. He's so perfect.

35 minutes later I heard a knock at my door. I opened it. It wasn't Beck.
