PROLOGUE

"mommy!" The kid was crying so loud that her mother was holding her ears. "don't leave me" she hugged her mother who is covered with blood.
"how did you get here?" even though with the mother's situation the mother still ask that kind of question to her daughter.
"I knew something was wrong!"the mother smiled at her child's smartness. She is only 7 years old but you can't deny that she knows a lot of things. Her mother was always busy and because of that the child learned to be more independent. But one day her mother was pale like ghost and went straight out of the house. She was concerned for her mother so she decided to follow her. She didn't expect that there was a hidden passage in their garden and it leaded it to an airplane . She didn't wonder anymore how an airplane can fit close to their house when there is a huge space of land beside their house. Their house was hidden in a place they were the only one existing.
The child was able to go inside the airplane without the mother noticing but the daughter did not expect someone to bomb their airplane. The child already knew that she has an incredible power that she was able to control the airplane to land safely. Tho she was not able to stop the gun shot that was for her mother. She screamed as her mother fall and faced the man who shot her mother. She controlled the gun and shot the man.
"mommy! Hold on!" there were more gun shots flying to them but this time the child was able to control them. Her mother saw this and was shocked as the bullets that was for them turned to the one who was shooting them. Her mother didn't know that this child adapted a gift. She was also relief that if she go her child will be safe.
"listen.."the mother was struggling to speak "Veronica..." the child never wanted to be called her full first name but she can't stop her mother at the moment. "I am sorry...... for not giving you the attention you need. I love you Veronica.... the sweetest gift I've ever received.."
"no mommy don't give me your last words because you'll still live so hold on" the child was shaking her head non stop. Throwing tantrums and crying real hard.
"Veronica..."the mother held the child's face"Veronica... stay strong and live the way you want..... your father is coming" the child was confused because she have ever met her father. "trust him and go with him so you'll be safe" the child cried harder knowing she can't do anything anymore"I love you Veronica..." the child shut her eyes as her mother closed her eyes and lost her life.
"mommy!!!" the scream was very loud and powerful that it cause the remaining enemies to fly away and broke down the remains of the airplane.
"Veronica..." a tall man approached her and held her shoulders "I am your father's comrade you should come with us"
"you're all too late! My mommy won't come back now!"
The man could not do anything but put sleeping injection on the child.
"you'll stay here Veronica--"
"call me Roni" the child said hard that the tall man sighed but smile at her.
"Bernard" the child looked at the tall man "I'm Bernard"
"okay.." the child said softly and looked away.
"stay here Roni so you'll be safe.. we'll take care of you"
"you should have said that to my mother too so she won't die. I can't accept that my father was not there when--" Bernard went out of the room.
"Ronald" he said as he saw the child's father standing beside the child's door. "I'll get going" Bernard bowed and started walking away.
"I'm sorry Veronica.." Ronald said holding the door of her child while he was hearing his child's cry.

Before the story starts I wanna state First you might see typos and wrong grammars/spelling, I am sorry for that. Second some parts might be familiar This is a story inspired by BLACK EQUATION and THE PECULIAR'S TALE. I loved those story that it made me want to write a fantasy type story. I am also currently reading more fantasy stories to learn more how to write this type of story so any recommendations?? Haha! THIRD! the Veronica and the nickname Roni came from one of my favorite youtubers one of the Merell Twins. I love them both! FOURTH! Sloe update... what's new about that anyway? haha!
