"Riley! It's morning time." I feel two cold hands pushing me back and forth, trying to gain my attention. "You need to get your cute butt out of bed." I can already picture the smug grin on his face; same annoyance, different day.
"Not now Aris!" I'm still sleeping." I yawn loudly into my pillow, but he continues effortlessly at bothering me to no end. "You know I don't get enough sleep as it is." I manage to muffle out through my pillow.
With a huff, he stops nearly pushing me off the bed to take a seat beside me. "I'm bored..." I'm given a small moment of beautiful silence before he continues again. "Want to play a game?"
With a grunt, I roll over and on my back and struggle to open my eyes. When I finally find the energy I turn my head, I blink a few times as grey eyes stare back at me. "No games. Sleep." I raise my hands over my head and clutch the pillow. Slowly I begin lifting it and then quickly smack him in the face with my pillow. He falls hard to the ground with a thud, causing me to laugh.
"Hey! That wasn't very nice." He pouts at me on the floor. I lean over my bed and smile as innocent a smile as I can muster.
"You're not very nice." I pat him on the cheek. "Now get up sleepy head." Laughing, I pull the covers off myself and sway my legs over the edge of the bed.
"I already was, if you hadn't noticed." He shoves himself up from off the floor and pretends to dust himself off. "You're the one who sleeps all the damn time."
"Whatever." I stumble my way to the closet while avoiding eye contact with myself in the mirror, refusing to see my current sleepy state and slide the glass door open. "Stupid demon," I mumble quietly to myself.
"Heard that!" Not quiet enough obviously. I sigh and lean heavily against the frame. "You really should try to be a little less rude." I can hear him rustling through my stuff again.
I decide it's best to ignore him and rummage through my closet for something to wear. After a short contemplation, I choose to wear my jean leggings and my black and white over shirt. I slide them on and do my hair and make-up.
He scrunches his nose up at me, but continues to play around with my stuff again. I continue to ignore him and walk through him on my way him to the door. "That tickles; I really wish you wouldn't do that." He stares down at his feet and rubs at his stomach.
"Whatever. Do you want a lollipop or not?" I question him, even though I know the answer.
Instantly, his face lights up and he rushes past me and down the stairs. I grin slightly, shake my head, and follow him.
"Hurry your cute little butt up already!" He shouts at me from the kitchen. As if he doesn't know where I have them hidden.
I leisurely stroll into the kitchen and open the cupboard to reveal some boxes and cans of food, and let's not forget the basket with the lollipops stored inside for safekeeping. I reach inside, take out my cereal and the basket, and then gather everything else to place on the table.
I toss a lollipop behind me and find myself shaking my head once again at the demon. He catches it with ease and takes the wrapper off and sticks it in his mouth, he stares at me while I pour my breakfast. "You shouldn't have too many of those." I sigh and take small bites. "Last time you complained about having a stomach ache for days."
"It isn't my fault that they are so... juicy." He mumbles. I notice him sneak another one, but pretend he is behaving, it's his own fault if he doesn't feel well later.
