As Aliens and Mythical Creatures (An OC x Ben 10 Fanfic)

Chapter 1: First Day as a Plumber

(A/N: I did not watch all episodes of Ben 10 to Ben 10 Omniverse, so please forgive me if I say weird stuff. I'm very new to the fandom and since I love it so much, I decided to make a fanfic. Please bear with me because I have only watched half of the episodes. Also, please remember that this is the Omniverse era. Janelle does not wear her outfit in the book cover. Her hair is in a regular half up half down hairstyle with no curls or braids and such. And she also doesn't wear her green yoga headband. She wears a long sleeved denim blouse paired with black leggings. To top her outfit, she wears black converse shoes with white socks)

It was Janelle's first day as a Plumber. To be honest, Janelle was a nervous wreck. Not only had her dream come true, but she finally had the chance to meet THE Ben Tennyson in person. Janelle had always wanted to meet him, but due to his busyness, she could not. Thanks to fate, it truly was a dream come true.

As Janelle was walking to the headquarters, she had bumped into Max Tennyson.

"You must be our new recruit, Janelle Willows" said Max as he examined the young brunette.

"Yes sir" replied Janelle with respect. Max was Janelle's role model ever since she was a young one. Him, Gwen, and especially Ben. Janelle had always wanted to become a hero. And now that she's a Plumber, she will train hard to be strong just like Max. 

"Janelle dear, I hope you don't mind but how about going against my grandson so us Plumbers can see how strong you are, rare half wizardess half fairy?" inquired Max. He truly wanted to see if Janelle was Plumber material, or something else.

Janelle gulped as beads of sweat started dripping down her face. Her? Challenge the great Ben Tennyson? Janelle couldn't even last a minute against him. But then again, she couldn't say no.

"S-sure Mr. Tennyson" stuttered Janelle nervously. She hoped Ben would go easy on her.

"Excellent," smiled Max and then shouted saying, "Ben, could you please come here?"

A few seconds later Ben came dashing towards Grandpa Max on his hoverboard, a Mr. Smoothy on his hand as Rook ran behind him.

"Ben, Rook, I'd like you two to meet our newest recruit, Janelle Willows" said Mr. Tennyson as he introduced the young woman.

"It's a pleasure meeting you" replied Janelle as she bowed in a 60 degree angle. 

"A pleasure to meet you as well" said Rook with a welcoming smile.

"Yeah, what he said" said Ben sipping on his smoothy. 

"Ben, I'd like you to have a match with Janelle to see how strong she is" said Grandpa Max.

Immediately, Ben spit out the captivating liquid in his mouth and sprayed it out. Luckily, Max, Rook, and Janelle didn't get wet.

"But Grandpa, I thought I only fight aliens!" retorted Ben, not wanting to fight Janelle. Janelle on the other hand was half happy because she didn't get to fight Ben but half sad because she felt like she was being insulted somewhat. 

"Ben, we just need to know if Janelle can handle the job. Therefore we need you to go against her" stated Grandpa Max thoroughly. 

"Why can't you or the other plumbers go against her?" questioned Ben stubbornly. 

"Ben, you should listen to Mr. Tennyson" suggested Rook, placing a hand on Ben's shoulder.

"Yeah Ben. You never know what Janelle has up her sleeve" spoke Max.

Ben looked at Janelle squinting his eyes a little for a few minutes, and then said, 

"Fine"

Janelle was now in an arena with Ben. She was even more nervous than before, but she did not choose to show that side of her. It was time for the serious Janelle now. Half of the Plumbers decided to watch while the other half stayed to do their jobs. 

As Janelle was in her train of thoughts, she was interrupted by a loud voice.

"Ladies, gents, and aliens of all kinds, this is a battle to determine whether our new Plumber is strong enough to go against the most wanted villains of the universe," said Grandpa Max as he went on, "Fighters, prepare to attack"

Ben on the other hand already transformed into Heatblast. Now it was Janelle's time to prove herself to the Plumbers.

"Water Fairy Mode!" said Janelle. Immediately, a watery aura surrounded her as she began to transform into something else. Her outfit consisted a strapless  flowy green dress that was up to her knees and was barefoot. Her hair was put into a waterfall braid and to be honest, she looked like a goddess. 

"On the count of three, the battle commences," said Max, "Three... two... one! Fight!"

"Fireball!" said Heatblast as his balls of flames lunged towards Janelle. But Janelle acted quickly.

"Water Bolt!" stated Janelle. Soon, aqua shperes shot out of her hands and charged to Heatblast.

Heatblast then used Flight to not get shot by the bolts and then attacked Janelle by the leg using enhanced speed. Due to Janelle's water-like body, she did not get burned.

"Wizardess' Sierra!" chanted the young brunette. Soon, her body started changing into water. The Plumbers and Grandpa Max watching the fight were astonished. None of them has ever since a user who can be a fairy and use wizard magic at once. Even Ben was impressed.

"Ben, I guess we just have to do this water and lava style" Janelle said with a grin.

"I think so as well" agreed Ben with a smirk.

"Pyrokinesis!" yelled Ben and Janelle together in unison. 

Soon, both water and lava went forward. There was bound to be a loud 'boom' after the meet of the two. As a few minutes passed, a piercing noise was heard. The lava and water that had collided turned into pieces of rocks with steams coming out of it. 

Just as cue, Ben turned back into his human self as Janelle changed into a fairy again. Janelle's big, beautiful, and detailed wings were flapping in a fast pace as she flew towards Ben. As Janelle approached Ben, he was at lost of words.

"You... you're... what are you?" inquired Ben, very frightened. He has never seen a person like Janelle before.

"I'm technically a hybrid," stated Janelle nervously, "Half wizardess, half fairy"

"Other creatures out there actually exist?!" asked Ben as he placed both hands on Janelle's shoulders, a couple of inches away from her face. A slight tint of pink spread across Janelle's cheeks, which made her think she was a complete fool.

"Well, I mean," spoke Janelle shyly, "I guess"

"Cool!" exclaimed Ben as he leg go of Janelle's shoulder and pumped his fist up into the air. 

While Ben was fawning over the thought that even mythical creatures exist and Janelle lost and confused, Grandpa Max, Rook, Blukic, and Driba all went down to the arena. 

"That was an amazing fight Ben and Janelle" congratulated Rook. 

"Yeah, you fairy or wizardess or whatever you are did an incredible job!" said Driba and Blukic in awe.

"Grandpa, can she be in my team?" interrogated Ben. A Plumber like Janelle would be a perfect addition to his team.

"Yes Mr. Tennyson," concurred Rook, "May Janelle be in our team?"

"Well," said Mr. Tennyson scratching the back of his head, then looked at Janelle, "if it's alright with Janelle that is--'

"Yes!" shouted Janelle happily. Max looked at the brunnete with a 'okay?' expression, which got Janelle laughing nervously.

"Hurray!" shriek Rook and Ben simultaneously. 

"Janelle, your real day on the job with these two start tomorrow" instructed Grandpa Max.

"Alright Mr. Tennyson" said Janelle, doing a little salute.

"Oh, and Janelle" 

"Yes sir?"

"Call me Grandpa instead" said Max with a warm smile.

Janelle grinned very brightly as she felt complete happiness.

"Yes Grandpa"
