Unexpected Journey

Chapter 14

* Next day...*

Yes, awake by the alarm. I brush my face with my hands and took a look outside. It's a rainy day. I love rainy days even they they're cold sometimes. As much as my bed is warm and comfy I've got to wake up. I sit up and get up going to the bathroom. I brush my teeth, take a quick bath and dress. Dressing formal trousers, white shirt and a dark blue blazer. I also put ballerinas, a big coat and a beanie. I put my inhaler in the bag, my purse and few random things inside including a portable umbrella in case it rains. I go downstairs and just seat on a chair near the table. I don't feel like taking breakfast today.

Few minutes after I exit the house. Today I can't go to Starbucks otherwise I'll be late. Again. I open the door and seat putting my things on the chair beside me. I start driving and as I'm driving I receive a call from Niall. I instantly answer.

"Hello Lauren" He's always happy. I'm sure he never had a bad day.

"Hey" I said. I'm still a bit down about yesterday.

"I'm sorry we didn't had a chance to spend all day together yesterday" He said.

"It's fine. Someday maybe" I said sadly.

"If you want we can go grab some lunch together?" He said.

"Today?" I ask.

"Yeah" He confirms. I smile.

"Yes, sure" I say.

"Okay. Well, where do you wanna meet up?" He asks.

"Near Corner Street maybe? Do you know where is?" I suggested.

"Honestly no but I'll find in my GPS" He said laughing.

"Okay, I'd be delighted to talk to you but I've got to go to work" I said.

"It's fine. Have a good day at work, see you" He said.

"Thanks. See ya" I say ending up the call.

I enter the building and go straight to my office.

*Few hours later...*

It's 11:50pm and in 10 minutes I'm leaving for lunch. So put my purse inside the bag and arrange a bit of my makeup. I start exiting and as I'm rushing suddenly I bash into a person. A tall man. Brunette with hazel eyes. His hair was pushed back and his bone structure was really defined. I've seen him around but never really noticed him.

"I'm sorry" He said helping me picking up the papers that fell as he had an american accent.

"No, I'm sorry, I rushed into it" I said with all my papers in as he gives me the rest.

"Here" He said with a petite smile. His smile was really charming.

"Thanks" I said with a smile back.

"See you around" He said walking away. I nod with a smile walking out of the building too.

As I exit the building, I start walking towards Corner Street which is just 5 minutes away.

I then reach and wait in near the mail postbox. As it start raining I take out my umbrella and cover myself with it. After minutes I see Niall in a snapback with a cute brown sweatshirt, dark blue jeans and some black vans. Letting the rain bash onto his clothes making him wet.

He sees me and waves. I wave back with a smile. I run a little to him and share the umbrella.

"Hey Lauren" He said smiling and hugging me. I hug him back watching the rain fall onto "our" umbrella. He then gets out and starts walking on the rain again.
