Alice in Storybookland

Year ----

"Bibbity, Bobbity, Boo!" He laughed clapping his hands. He was amused with his decision.

"Really? I have to say that?" I groan.

"It's part of your sentence, Godmother." He is amused with my new found name. He opens the golden scroll that has my name signed in blood at the bottom, "Here are your list of princesses. Pocahontas, Belle, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Rapunzel and Jasmine."

I growel and throw my hands in the air, "This is ridiculous!"

He walks around me, "You knew the consequences of your actions. Here are your rules for Pocahontas; You cannot be seen, you must act as a force of wind acting as an outside force, you will make sure everything in her life ends in a way that suites her best." he pauses waiting for a response. "Now go! Pocahontas is first and she needs help saving John."

"Well how on earth do I do that, Rumpel!" I lash back.

"Not my problem!" He sits on his velvet red and gold throne.

I begin to walk away.

"Wait! Your wand!" Rumpelstiltskin throws a sparkling white wand at my feet.

I look at the wand wondering what I am suppose to do with it. "A piece of sparkling wood? What's this suppose to help me with?"

"Whatever your heart so desires." he answers.

Year 1951

"We must take her down. The Red Queen must die!" I yell through the city of Wonderland. Aces, Clubs, Rabbits, dogs with brooms for heads, mome rats, red hedgehogs, green hedgehogs, the curious oysters, horn ducks, birds with the bodies of eyeglasses, every animal from the Tulgey Woods area was here to cheer!

"No more painting the roses red!" yells the Ace followed by roars of agreement.

"More time, No more worrying about time!" yells Rabbit.

"But Alice, how do we take down The Red Queen!?" The Mad Hatter yells.

"Don't worry, I have a friend from Oz. His name is Rumpelstiltskin. He Has magic, magic that will defeat the queen." I announce from the top of the tree I am hanging from.

The Cheshire Cat appears inches from my face, "You better keep people quiet or else she will catch you."

I laugh at him, "And what attack me with her flamingos?" I stick my face close to the Cheshire Cat.

"Save us, Alice, Save us!" Yells the dormouse.

"You are trying to make sense of things that are naturally senseless. To defeat the Queen in wonderland, you must think illogically." laughs the Cheshire Cat.

Year ----

"Who's next Rumpel?" My voice echoes in his empty and dark Castle.

His eerie voice sings across the room, "All finished with Pocahontas I see!" he skips around his dining room.

His castle is clouded with dust, besides for my few visits, it seems as if I'm the only one who has ever stepped foot in here in years. The centerpiece of the room is a large cherry wood table that runs thirteen feet long by four feet wide, has at least twelve elegantly shaped wooden chairs with velvet cushions placed around it. Behind the dusty, heavy and thick, black draped curtains that hang from the high ceiling and drape the floor are wall to wall windows. Windows that Haven't been opened since Rumpel has seen his family.
