Gigantic gates greeted them. It was overwhelming with the amount of tourists frantically running to and fro, parents snapping photographs of their children with mascots, ice cream smeared all over their faces and candy floss hanging off their arm. A mass of people stopping in the most obscure places with their maps in their hands before scurrying off to the favourite high speed roller coaster ride that everyone was talking about. Suha clutched Luke's hand and squeezed it before looking over to him to see him grinning right back at her. He looked so angelic, as always. His soft bouncy, shiny hair doing it's best job to fight against the wind, his bright blue eyes sparkling as the sun reflected off them, his smile bringing warmth to Suha's heart, not much unlike the warmth that was dancing across her exposed skin in the heat. It was a beautiful day with a warm breeze, the perfect opportunity for them to head to the amusement park, they'd been talking about it for quite some time and now they had finally found a day when they were both off work, when the weather was nice and when they could afford it. In the distance there were coaster trains ricocheting around the track like bullets being fired from a gun, screams and cheers from a throng of people beneath watching loved ones be propelled around the track.
"Come on!"
Luke calls, jolting Suha's arm and pulling her forward with him as he encourages her to follow him into the group of people lining up for the ride everyone was screaming about 'Runaway Mine'
"Luke..." Suha replies, shooting him a look
"Suha?..." he says back, smiling widely at her
Suha shakes her head and follows him, unconvinced. Suha can feel her heart racing as the queue gets smaller and smaller, gripping Luke's hand tighter with every step. Luke starts to laugh and strokes the back of Suha's head, pulling her into his chest
"It's gonna be fine, you're gonna love it" he says, reassuringly, leaving a kiss on the top of her head
"If you say so..." Suha replies, still unsure "I mean, it's, safe? and everything, right?"
Luke laughs again, "Of course it's safe, i'm gonna be with you"
Suha sighs, the queue moves along again and the guard breaks off the next line of people just before Luke and Suha, they're next.
As the train pulls into the station Suha can feel her entire body shaking, her legs feel like jelly, her stomach is in her mouth and her hands are visibly wavering. Her hair is swept back off her face, and she feels frozen to the spot, all she can do is giggle, adrenaline was rushing through her and she couldn't keep the smile from her face. The safety bar unlocks and Luke lifts it and reaches his arm over to unbuckle Suha's belt, he then unbuckles his and leaves a soft kiss on Suha's forehead
"I told you i'd keep you safe" he whispers, before smiling sweetly
standing up he steps out of the train cart and holds his arms out for Suha to take hold of. She clutches onto him and gets onto her feet with Luke's strength stabilizing her, grounding her, they are both on the platform. Luke rubs his hands up and down the tops of Suha's arms, making sure that she's okay before taking hold of her hand and pulling it over to the railing, making sure she has a firm grip as they walk down the steep steps to the ground
"Oh, my, GOD" Suha exclaims, just as they reach the bottom step
"Not only can I not believe you just made me do that.." She continues, as Luke is trying his hardest to stifle his laughs and puts his hand in front of his mouth and pretends to scratch the end of his nose, he pulls her away from the steps and to the side as they sit on a small brick wall
"But i CANNOT believe how much i enjoyed it?" She says, throwing her arms around excitedly, Luke lets out his laugh now and leans into her as he tucks Suha's hair behind her ear
"It was just.. sooo much fun? Oh my god" She says. Her eyes light up and Luke can feel his heart soaring. Suha leaps into Luke's embrace and wraps her arms tightly around his neck as he rests his arms around her waist, she squeezes him tightly before he breaks the moment off. She stands in front of him as he looks up at her
"You wanna go grab some food?" He asks
"You can smell the onions too?" She replies, shooting her eyebrows up and once again bursting into a laugh. She takes hold of Luke's hand and strides towards the sound of the sizzling onions in the nearby burger shack.
