In front of shut curtains

The real moral of Cinderella is that Blonde girls always get what they want and ugly people are evil, so we are going to change that with our own twist of Cinderella.

Curtains open, on stage it is set up like an attic with Cinderella weeping and bashing on the floor and shouting. She has cleaning products in her hand that are scattered around the room.

Cinderella

"Why are you treating me like this?"

"I didn't do anything to you! Let me out of this blasted room".

Step Mother

From backstage (Not visible to audience)

"Cinderella shut up and turn off your freaking music".

Cinderella

Turns off music

"I don't deserve any of this"

Step mother

"I SAID SHUT UP"

Cinderella comes up and tries to hurt step mother, and the step mother defends herself and slaps her in the face.

"go help your sister clean this mess"

Cinderella

Covers words with a cough

"Step sister"

Step mother

"Right then, do it yourself"

Locks door of the attic behind her as she leaves. Cinderella is left alone to weep.

Cinderella

Sobbing

"Father, Mother still sobbing I love you both so much and I miss you with all my heart. She has been nothing but cruel to me. Sometimes I feel like she is always on her period. The nastiness never stops".

Drizella

Shouting from back stage

"CINDERELLA! CAN YOU PLEASE GET THE MAIL IT JUST ARRIVED AND IM BUSY PAINTING MY NAILS AND MOTHER IS HAVING A REST!"

Cinderella

Grumbles to herself

"Ugh, What did you last slave die of?"

Walks down the stair out the front of the stage to a mail box and gets the mail and walks back up the stairs looking through the mail and enters the living room.

"Oooooh a party! There is going to be a party!"

Dancing around the house

"Oh please can't I go!? I'm never allowed out of the house! Please just this once!?"

Drizella and Step mother exchange worried and pained looks

Step mother

Sternly

"Cinderella! You know why you can't leave this house!"

Cinderella

Begging

"I know... but please just this once! Can't you loosen some stings?"

Stepmother

Regretfully

"I don't want to talk about it, pass me the invitation and go clean the kitchen."

Cinderella walks off stage sulking leaving stepmother and Drizella

"Such a headache that child can be"

Drizella

"Yes... Mother... Mum... Mummy? Could I please go to the party? I've never been and I'm 16 and it might get my mind off my break up."

Stepmother

"Yes baby, of course you can go"- Gets cut off

Cinderella

Screaming from off stage

"SO YOU LET HER GO TO THE PARTY!? YOU ARE SUCH A BIAS RAT. I JUST WANT TO GO TO ONE BLOODY PARTY. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING YOU ASKED FOR! I CLEANED EVERYTHING SO MUCH THAT THE PAINT IS STARTING TO PEEL OFF!"

Stepmother

"The party is tonight. Drizella will be going but I will be accompanying her, as for you Cinderella. You will help Drizella with her dress and you will stay at home and clean the fire place. Understood?"

Cinderella glares at her.

"Good, I'll leave you two girls to it".

Stepmother gives Drizella a kiss on the cheek and leaves which infuriates Cinderella.
