Also, I should probably mention that this is in the middle of the school year. That's why there are so few campers around. I have not read ToA, and it's been a LONG time since I read PJO or HOO. So some of the personalities may be a bit off (I'm so sorry if that's the case). This was inspired by a fanfic I recently read about a Solangelo canoe date where the entire Apollo cabin sang songs to "set the mood". If you are the author of said fanfic, let me know and I'll make sure to mention you!
"Hey Death Boy!"
Nico scowled. "Don't call me that Solace!"
Said son of Apollo only smiled wider. "The Apollo Cabin is holding a movie night tonight; a couple of kids bought a projector and everything. We have enough space to invite one extra person since there's only a few of us. So" here he slowed down and took a deep breath before going on, "I was thinking-"
Nico snorted and grumbled, "Don't hurt yourself."
Will glared briefly at him, before continuing. "As I was saying," he enunciated, "I was thinking to invite you to movie night."
Suddenly he looked away before glancing back at Nico.
He licked his lips and mumbled, "Th-that is, if you want to come."
The son of Hades stared at the blonde, checking for sincerity. He noticed the son of Apollo wilting ever so slightly under the scrutiny. Finally he sighed and run one hand through his hair.
"What time?"
Will looked up suddenly and beamed. "It's at seven tonight!"
"Alright then. I'll be there."
"Great!"
They stood there, Will grinning stupidly at Nico until he had to smile too.
"Hey Will! Get over here; Kayla needs your help setting up!"
Will jumped slightly before turning around and hollering back, "Be right there!"
He turned back to Nico while chuckling and rubbing the back of his neck. "Well... I should go..."
Nico coughed slightly. "Yeah."
"So I uh, will see you later. Be there at seven, Death Boy!"
Nico growled out a "Don't call me that!" at Will's retreating back before stomping away to the sparring field.
