1 prologue

"DAKOTA!!!" I heard my mom yell
"WHATT!" I shouted weak, for I had only been up for what I thought was 5 minutes.
"GET READY! THE MOM BUS IS LEAVING AT 7:30 SHARP." She yelled

Yes my name is Dakota. I'm 15 and a girl. Some of my friends call me Cody sometimes for short. I like Dakota better, but I go my either.

I jumped out of bed and put on my preset outfit from last night. It was a gray tank top, black flannel, black ripped jeans, and my black matte doc martins. I threw my hair in a top messy bun and pulled the baby hairs out. While I was in the middle of applying mascara my brother ran in the room.
"DAKOTA!" He shouted
"Yes Jonas?" I replied in annoyance
Yeah my brother is thea Jonas Bridges or woahitsJonas the younow star or whatever you know him as.
"Guess what I found out." He said excited
"What?" I said annoyed
"One of my younow friends likes you." He said anxious
"Who?" I asked curious
"What about that magcon boy?" He said confused
"Oh Hunter. We broke up a few weeks ago." I said looking down at my lap.
"Oh sorry Cody." He said hugging me.
"It's cool. I'm over it already, so who is it?" I said anxious
"Mario." He said quiet and slowly.

My jaw dropped. The same Mario Selman that I went to elementary school with and shared a milk with everyday. The same Mario that moved to Florida in 5th grade.

"Selman?" I questioned

"Yeah! So what are ya thinking?" He asked

"I dont know. I don't think I would want to date one of my childhood friends." I stated

"You dated Hunter." He stated confused

"Exactly why I don't want too." I said

"What should I tell him? That you said No?" He asked

"We can talk about it at school." I said escorting him from my room.

Did I also fail to mention we are twins?

I finished my makeup and went down to the kitchen. I grabbed two toaster waffles and plopped them in the toaster.
While they were cooking I took out the gallon jug of juice and poured it into two glasses. I placed the jug back in the fridge and the waffles were done. I spread Nutella over the top of them both and placed them on plates.
Jonas then came down and we ate our breakfast.

We then grabbed our bags and got in the car.

After that unbearable car ride with my mom I got out. Then Jonas and I walked into school.

Did I also fail to mention it was the first day back from summer vacation?

I looked around and saw Blake.

"Blake!" I said loudly so he could hear.
"Dakota!" He said in the same way.
I ran up to him and jumped in his arms.
"I missed you best friend!" He said in relief.
"I missed you too." I exhaled
We let go of the hug.
"So how was going back to Texas with your Mom for the summer?" I asked excited.
"Well I hung out with all my old best friends." He said
I got annoyed.
"But none of them are like you!" He quickly said
"Good save Gray." I said with a smirk
"What did you do this summer?" He asked
"Well other than going on tour with Jonas, Hunter joining the tour, dating Hunter, and breaking up with Hunter. Nothing really." I brushed off
"Wait! You never told me you and Hunter were dating." He wined
"You never asked." I replied
"How would I have known?" He asked
"I don't know best friend telepathy? Plus you didn't even go to POMS Houston." I stated
"Okay looks like we both messed up and let's move past this and towards our lockers.... What locker number are you?" He asked

I grabbed my schedule from the side pocket of my back pack and unfolded it.
"It is 1754." I responded
"Let's go! Mine is 1755." He quickly said
"Then let's go locker neighbor." I said
"Off to our locker we shall." He said putting his arm around me in a friendly way and walked to our lockers.
Blake said something that made me laugh and not realizing we were walking past Hunter.
"Get a room." He said
"Your only mad because you didn't." Blake quickly shot back
"You didn't have too..." I said
"Eh, no one talks to my best friend like that." Blake said
We got to our lockers and I already knew who my other locker neighbor was. He has been the locker next to me since we had cubbies in pre-K.
"Hey sis." Jonas said.
"Hey Jonas." I replied
I placed all my books in my locker and went to my first period.
"Do you guys know who has first period geometry?" I asked
"Umm. I think Jacob and Nathan do." Blake said
"And Mario, but that's all I know of." Jonas added in.
"Ok cool I'm going to go to that see you guys later." I said

I walked into Geometry and sat down at a table of desks next to Jacob.
Mark later walked in and sat across from me. Then Ariel walked in. She sat to the left of me while Jacob was on the right. Then Mario sat next to mark.

The class went on and towards the end I felt something on my leg. My thigh to be exact. I quickly looked down to see a hand. A hand that belonged to Jacob. I grabbed his hand quickly and threw it off. I looked up at him and he looked over and gave me a wink.
