"Scarlette...Scarlette Hravart,"your mother called.You looked at your friend Eren Jaeger one last time for the day before telling him bye,and sprinting to your house.
"Y-yes mother",you panted."It's time for dinner. Hey,where's your friend ",she asked. "He's headed home." She addressed you by your nickname 'rose'.After all, your full name meant 'red burning rose'."Rose... honey why didn't you invite him?" "Mom- you could've told me that before I said bye,and sprinted over here", you said feeling rather bitter.
"Honey,don't take that tone with your mother,and where's my hug?" "Sorry father... I apologize mother," you said as you set down your fork and hugged both of your parents. "How was your day sweetie," your father inquired. "It was amazing! First we went to watch the men come back from outside of the wall,then this man was really mean, so Eren hit him with a stick! The guy got really mad,so we had to run. After that,we talked for a bit," you say out of breath as you finish explaining your day.
"Sounds like you two mischievous kids are causing trouble," your dad said as you rapidly shook your head. "No father, I promise we're not," you said quickly as you finished eating. "Mom?" "Yes honey? " "Do you ever think the titans will break the wall," you asked. You saw the look on your parent's faces,and called it was best to dismiss the question.
Not five minutes later, you saw a pissed Eren running through the streets. You ran out the door after him, eager to find out what pissed him off to this level.
You sprinted behind him ,pulling the same facial expression that he had on. As the distance narrowed down, you saw none other than the local bullies, picking on your other best friend, Armin Arlert. "Go on! Fight me. You only fight because you're stupid. You can hit me, but I know I've already won!" Armin shouted.
They heard the panting and Eren's voice as he called out, "Hey, you bastards! Leave him alone!" They just laughed at Eren before noticing you.
"Oh shit! She's with him too!" You kept a straight face as you swung your fists at them, threatening to hit them.They saw this action and ran, scattering in different directions. "Armin! Are you alright?!" you shrieked as Eren offered Armin a hand. "Where'd they get you Armin?" a worried Eren asked," as Armin stood on his own.
"It's fine, thank you," Armin said as he regained his footing. All of you headed to the town square as Armin explained himself. "I was talking about the future of humanity being outside of the walls",Armin said showing you his book."Why is everyone so DAMN IGNORANT-all COWARDS!" Eren shouted.
You would have answered him, but your body began to violently shake. A huge rumble blew through the city catching everyone's attention. You, Armin,and Eren ran through the streets heading to where the crowd was. Eren shouted, "What- was there an explosion or something? Will someone tell me what the hell is going on! " As everyone else did, you three turned around to face the wall.
All throughout the crowd, faces contorted slowly as pure shock and realization smacked them at the same time.
