Lily's P.O.V
I was walking through the woods tired, hungry, hell I don't even know where I'm going. All I know is that the last group I was in were cannibals and that's been a year ago. As I was walking I heard shuffling and groans when I turned around there was a herd about 50 of them heading my way. "Shit" I mumble. Before the biters could catch up with me I started running my lungs burning and my hair whipping out of my face. I finally came to a stop when I saw a store.I ran inside not even checking my surroundings and started blocking the door. After I was done I started checking the place out I found 5 water bottles, 3 granola bars, and 6 cans of peaches. I was starving because I haven't eaten in 2 weeks so I opened one of the cans of peaches an scarfed them down. Once I was done I laid down and felt my eyelids growing heavy so I close them and drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
I was running down a long neverending hallway. In the distance I see my brother and then my mom and dad. When I reach them there gone. Something grabs my shoulder I turn and see mom as one of them.
I wake up with beads on sweat on my head. I go check out the front of the store to see if the biters finally left. When I get up there the stuff that I had to block the door was moved out of the way and I saw a group of people outside the store as I'm about to go see who it is and what they want a gun is pressed to my head. "Who are you?" A raspy voice says. I turn a round to see a man that I like a foot taller than me.
"I-I'm Lily", "Rick Grimes" he says. "How many walkers have you killed?"he ask. Walkers? Oh wait he means biters. I guess I'll just start calling them walkers. I snort at his question. " to many to count" I say. He nods his head in satisfaction. "How many people have you killed?" I sigh and start to tear up. "Two". "Why?" He ask. "It was my mom she got bit and my dad told me to kill her because he wouldn't forgive himself if he did it. Then my dad because he became super depressed and he told me to kill him otherwise I would find him dead in the floor the next morning without me knowing" I say as I started to cry. He puts his gun down an gives me a sympathetic look. "Aye Rick we need to get back to the prison before Hershel freaks out" someone said. When they get in I see who it is and I run up to him. "D-Daryl" I choke out. "Lily is that you?" He ask. I hug him and start to cry my eyes out he does the same and we hug and cry together." Daryl how do you know her" rick asked. " I'm his sister" I manage to say through tears of happiness. "Well lily welcome to the group" he says.
We head back to the prison that dark was babbling about on our way there I ask him a question. "How's Merle" I ask. He looks at me with sad eyes. "He's dead" he says. I start to laugh."I knew that son of a bitch wouldn't make it he was such an asshole" I say. He chuckles and then it's back to silence."We're here" rick says . When I get out people start to stare at me. I hate having all the attention on me. So I just put my head down and start walking. "This is the cell you'll be staying in" he says I nod and I look at the cell. " uhh who else stays in here?" I ask. "Oh my son Carl. He's your age so I you two will get along" he says.
"Oh and we have showers so feel free to take one". When he said that I ran to the showers and stripped don and got in. Feeling the warm water on my skin felt amazing. I see a razor and I smile and grab it. I shelve everywhere because you know a girl has to shave. I get out and wrap a towel around me. All of a sudden someone comes in.
"Woah I'm so sorry I didn't mean to come in on you" a guy says with long hair and a sheriffs hat. "Oh no your fine" I say. "Umm I'm gonna get out now" he says. I laugh " yeah that would be a great idea" I say. I get changed into some new clothes a nice woman named carol gave to me. I go to my cell and see the same boy that walked in on me in the showers. " oh well looks like I'm sharing a cell with you pretty boy " I say . He looks at me and smiles." Hey I'm still really sorry about what happened today in the showers"he says his cheeks turning a touch of pink. "That's ok " I say. I crawl into bed and drift into sleep.
