Summer is officially over. I step off the bus and onto the sidewalk. I look around at my new school. Freshman. A minute later I'm in the school. New faces, old faces. I greet some of the old faces with a smile and a "Hey".

Doors open after a nice long wait. Schedule. I reach in my back pocket and pull out a folded piece of paper. Room 206, Mrs Phillips. I walk down the hallway to the stairs. A daily workout. Great. The hallway upstairs is filled with kids just like downstairs. Down the hall to the left. I come up on my first class. Set my backpack down. See some old friends. Some new friends from football. I play football. The teacher opens the door and we all walk inside. A seating chart already? Next to Kaitlyn! That's not bad.

I put my backpack on the back of my chair and sit down. After a few minutes the bell goes off. Everyone stands for the pledge. Everyone sits down and basically ignores the morning announcements. Me and Kaitlyn play a game where we name random things as fast as possible. Apple, banana, elephant, Obama. Other classes are basically the same. Science, Math, AFJROTC, English, Spanish, and AP Government. Lunch was okay. Better than middle schools food. English was so far my favorite class. Not because of the subject or the teacher. It was because of her. Bell rings after 6th. Schools out. I go back downstairs and head outside. Football. Gear on. Practice. Gear off. Do my homework. Eat dinner. Shower. Go to bed. By bed I mean stay up till one in the morning on my phone. First day over.
