Emma and Harper have been best friends since birth. Harper is a rich girl who gets everything she wants. Emma on the other hand has to work for what she wants. Emma will always spend the weekend at Harper's house. Both girls are on the cheer squad and are both popular. They, on the other hand, are not your regular prep type girls. They are friends with anyone and everyone. Friendly. Nice. Never stubborn. It was close to being summer which means a month for Harper and Emma to go to the beach. Every year after school lets out, Harper's dad would take Harper and her brother Chase and a few of his friends out to the beach. Emma would tag along to enjoy time with them. Emma basically lives over there except she works for things that she wants. Harper's mom and dad are divorced so they never really see each other. Unlike Emma's parents. They have been trying to keep up with Emma's older brother lately so they really don't even know Emma exists.
The bell rings at school.
"Last day of school is finally over. Let summer begin!" Emma says to Harper.
They walk to the car rider line to see Chase in their convertible ready to pick them up.
"Ew Emma is coming over today?" Chase says in a joking matter.
"Ew you came to pick us up?" Emma says as she laughs.
"Chase. It is the beginning of summer. We do this every year. Emma comes with us to the beach. Remember idiot?" Harper says to Chase.
Chase just nods his head. "Are y'all gonna get in or what?"
The girls decide to hop in the back as Chase cranks up the music full blast.
"Summer here we come!" Harper and Emma shouts at the same time.
