Aggravated by his current situation, the toddler started crying relentlessly, unable to move from his little basket. He was helpless, lonely... Time was no longer a dimension, merely a static value that could never be moved. His tiny impeccable body felt heavy, he couldn't breathe the air in the room, his heart was pounding, hurrying to replenish the lost oxygen, and then slowly starting to decrease the rate with which it pumped blood. Gradually, the toddler's consciousness started fading away, which ultimately put him to sleep.
A very imposing figure entered the room, something, rather than somewhat. He, or rather it, was something that couldn't be described with words... its gaze was inhumane and its countenance was that of an angel, its body was engulfed with holy fire, the fire of the world itself, but its eyes... the eyes were of a glacial gold, something far-fetched from happiness. With morbid sadness the figure looked at the infant and said:
"Goodbye, my savior, goodbye, my precious..."
Then a woman opened the door thunderously, only to burst into tears at the sight of blood spilled on the little one's eyes. The women looked at the stern figure then nodded, and said with a whisper:
"We will, we will."
With great grief the woman kissed the boy on his forehead and forced a smile, the smile of an angel. However, the smile was crucially different from the other figure's, it was filled with hope, rather than pure sadness. While the sadness existed, the hope was what the woman wanted to give the child, the hope that a recently married country girl felt, dressed in traditional clothing, something not very unusual.
On the other hand, the other presence appeared to have come from a totally different dimension. One fascinating aspect was the power that was radiating around that creature, something of such a colossal scale that the air was tempered around it. Its attitude was that of a genius that could not be understood, not by man, but not by God, or rather, he may well be God himself, but it was too far-fetched from reality. The whole Universe could be found in its heart, the will of all the people could be felt in his veins. Its state of uneasiness was most likely produced by the conflict of principles that people live by, leaving the creature unable to make a choice that would satisfy everyone.
The woman leaned on the beast's body, on what looked like a chest, an actually well developed one. With one last glance at the baby, the two hurriedly left the room, probably in order to deal with the calamity that was breaking loose outside the protected room in which the toddler was crying his heart out.
What came next after the episode of the two being in the room was pure loneliness and torment. Despite not being awake, the child could feel the atmosphere of the world in flowing through his mind, and subconsciously understood everything that was happening, and no way that was going to have a good ending. He could hear the fire, sense the glacial eyes and understand the clashing of two contraries, thing that would later become the world he would live in. In profound sleep, the baby still felt suffocated by madness and the negative matter, abstract but doubtlessly real pain that could be felt by the chosen ones, caused by the angriness of the people of a world. The kid's sclera turned pitch-black and its iris turned luridly red and opened up, but then miraculously changed back to normal. That felt like an enlightening moment to the child, as if it was something that would later prove to be critical.
And there was the little child, an entity so small that it was not supposed to feel anything, but in spite of that, felt everything. It writhed uncontrollably in the hope of escaping the undergoing nightmare, but it was no use, since the present could not be changed, nor the fact that one can only live in the present, not in the future and not in the past.
The guards were screaming brutally, as if their lives were at stake (they really were). Those sounds were followed by metal getting scrapped, people screaming in the agony of losing their lives, hearts getting pierced and souls floating in the sky. The feelings that the souls had attached with them filled the atmosphere unpleasantly, leaving behind a faulty smell. A man shouted with his last breath:
"Go further, my men, we shall stand up to these creatures and we shall dominate! We shall rule this world, regardless of who or what the others are. Do not fret when you are in front of justice, for we shall prove to be superior! With my dying words, fight, my beloved friends, and bring victory home, and the Real Lord shall help you!"
Then the man coughed and spilled blood on the floor, moment that marked his death. Bravery is something hard to achieve and something even harder to pass to others, but what that man did was unbelievably admirable and for a second filled the toddler's heart with hope, only to be drowned in the pain of the destiny the man was given.
What followed were very subtle footsteps that gave away someone else was trying to sneakily get out of the mansion, a woman. Then a thunder struck the hallway and a body collapsed on the ground, burned to a crisp. The toddler felt horror radiating from the creature that stood outside the room. Then rage erupted from someone else's soul and a fire ignited from their heart, filling the place with the will of destruction, the destruction caused by loving the most loved one. A very fast wind passed through the mansion then the battle ignited.
Enraged, the man slaughtered every soldier that was alive there and then proceeded to kill the other creature in the room. Engulfed in fury, he asked demandingly:
"Why? Why you of all people? How dare you defy the beauty of my life and leave me all alone? I have trusted you, for you shall leave eternally, and those who shall live eternally shall have justice in their soul. But it appears that The Clergy is not always right. Meet the music and perish at my feet, crying for your mistakes and with your heart broken from the injustice you have caused!"
The Universe followed those words and the holy judgment was set to kill the figure. Hell broke loose and particles split until there was nothing left behind, only the basket of a small, angelic toddler. The other two were gone and were never heard of for a long, long time. The butter-like colored basket swung left and right and the child stopped crying, unable to feel anything, because there was nothing left in that forgotten place, the place where the fate of the Universe was to be decided ~
