Alina was running. Running late. She was trying to walk as fast as possible without falling on her face, Debra was keeping her steady pace beside her knowing exactly where to lead her.

When she felt the dog slow down she stopped too. She turned to her left and walked quickly towards the bookshop. She stepped in and counted her steps to the cashier.

"I'm SO sorry im late! My alarm didn't go off and i had to run here and the-"

"Alina." Said the woman standing behind the cashier. The girl raised her eyes. Inside them there was pure horror. She had never been late for work before. Ever.

"Yes Mrs Jenkins?" She asked in a low uncertain voice.

"If you continue pushing yourself like that," Said the lady in a firm tone. "Then i'll give something to be sorry about."

Alina smiled and let out the breath that she was holding for the past three minutes.

"Yes Ms Jenkins." Said the girl. Ms Jenkins, who was the owner o the small bookshop, smiled back.

"Now off you go! Get ready before the customers get here!" She waved her arms to send her away, something Alina couldn't see. Nevertheless she walked past the cashier smiling and went into the staff room. She changed into her work clothes and picking up her cain she walked out of the room.

"Debra. Come here girl." She said and she kneeled down to find Debra already on her feet. She stoke her head and held it close to her face. "Now i want you to be a good girl and sit behind the register with Mrs Jenkins hm? Can you do that Deb?" She cupped the dogs face and Debra walked away and behind the cashier alongside Mrs Jenkins.

Alina turned around and walked towards the reading tables her cain stretched in front of her . She had been working in this bookshop for two years and she loved every minute of it. This wasn't a typical bookshop. It was a bookshop for people with disabilities. And that's why Alina loved it so much.

She heard the bell on the door ring and the first customer walking in.

"Welcome at Madam Jenkins" she heard Mrs Jenkins say and she smiled. Another beautiful day had started.
