Sweet Angel

Angels be like

For me life is a happy journey that will mold you to become a person you wanted to be. And with that I want to be a person who is kind, who will fight what is right, who will make her parents proud, and of course, who loves unconditionally. Oops, here I am again. By the way, I'm Maria Nixie Singson, a second year education student in Cebu Western University.

I'm at the campus right now and then suddenly "partner". I'm shouting at the hallway just to get my best friend's attention. My partner turns her head just to see who called her. "Partner" she called back using the same term.She's heading to the school's cafeteria and I walked toward her to join her grab some snacks. Oops, strike two. She's my best friend and my partner in crime. The one and only Charina Roxy Curtis. She became my best friend during our first year in college. There's a spark during our first encounter which is in the library when we strongly picked up the last copy of Les Miserables novel by Victor Hugo on its shelf. On that moment, our eagerness connected us, our prowess introduced us, and our lives were intertwined because of the passion that we held on the books that we treasure. Right there and then we became partner, we always went to places together included the comfort room. We even "pee" together (gross)! Lol!

She also took up education. We're very similar in anything. We like to read most especially, like to watch Korean dramas and anime, love to sing, love to eat chocolates, and love to study. But not math, we can study any subjects but no numbers included. Haha. We knew we're crazy. Who cares?

We're also branded as the living angels. We've heard the campus talked about us before saying "the nuns are coming" when we passed the hallway. That was last year's event, when we try to volunteer helping the victims of the super typhoon by packing the donated goods and sending it to the victims personally. Also, when we try to help the teachers running their errands and other small stuff like checking their class' test papers. Even our classmates who want us to help them with their assignments and to simplify the lesson that they didn't quite understand. We're smart you know, in our own little way.

Right now, we're inside the cafeteria. Char (my partner) is looking for a chocolate bar and I'm searching for a pretzels. After getting what we want, we headed to the counter to pay for the food. While waiting on the line I asked her "Partner, how was your summer job?" If you're going to ask, she worked as a cashier in McDonald's during summer. "Hmm, all I can say is that it went well. I save a thousand bucks and it enhanced my skill in socializing with other people. I really enjoyed that job even though I became unconscious at night after my shift ends." She said reminiscing the 2 months that she worked as a cashier. "How about you Nixie? What did you do during summer?" She counters back. "Well, that's a good question." I said while still thinking on the things that I have during summer. "As I remember, I read romance stories on wattpad, I read Paolo Coelho's new novels that was released last April and read a lot of books. How was that? Isn't it the most amazing job that I have done during summer? I said eyeing Char.
