I have two boys with autism, for those who do not know.

I have two boys with autism, for those who do know.

I love my boys, and I love their father.

As I was loved as a daughter.

Teachers and therapy can be a lot at once,

While filling paperwork can feel like months.

Patience turned into wisdom earned.

Knowledge burned into events learned.

In a mother's eyes, I can see through the cracks

How misguidance could potentially break their breaks.

I am afraid for my boys and our family.

That the only crazy one here is me.

As I watch my boys get on the bus,

There are the wants I wish, the impossible I must.
