"Wake up! Wake up!" My mother yelled.
"Why?" I asked.
"It's the first day of school." She said
"Well somebody didn't tell my body that cause it still wants to sleep. So does my mind, but you want me to go to school. Oh well it's two against one. I guess sleep wins." I said then started to go back to sleep.
"Come on sweetie, get up. You need to go to school." My mom said.
"Mom I've been to school it's not what it cuts out to be. So I'm going to pass."
"Okay I tried to be nice get the hell out of bed." She said obviously pissed.
"No." I said stubbornly.
"Fine." She said. Then left the room.
Ten minutes later I was wet and cold.
"Mother I suggest you run." I said.
"I am your mother you can't speak to me like that."
"Say that to someone who isn't wet, cold, or planning your death in the head."
"You know I'm going to start running."
"Yeah I would too."
-Twenty minutes later-
"How are you going to get to school?" My mom asked.
"Jenni is going to pick me up."
-Honk Honk-
"That's her right now. I should be leaving. Bye" I said then left.
"Are you ready for the first day of school." My best friend Jennifer asked.
"As ready as soldiers going into war." I said.
"You know your the most violent friend I have."
"Oh you flatter me." I said.
She just rolled her eyes. Then pulled into the school.
"Okay its time to get are game faces on. You go in and I'll cover you. Just remember it all for one and one for all. I'll see you on the other side." I said.
"We're going to school not war." She said.
"Eh same thing."
"It's really not."
"But seriously how am I going to make it through the day when we have no classes together." I said.
"You can do it."
"No I can't."
"Yes you can."
"No I can't."
"No you can't"
"I know I can't that's what I've been telling you."
"Let's just go into the school."
"Okay I'll see you at lunch." I said. Then because I'm me yelled,"Watch out for bombs!"
-Lunch-
"Why is the right side of your hand green." Jenni asked.
"Because I'm bad at chemistry." I said.
"You didn't even have it yet." She said.
"Then I don't know. Why is it green?" I said.
"It's a lot of work being your friend." She said.
"And yet your still here, after all that work I put in, in trying to get rid of you." I replied.
"There's a hot guy walking towards you." She said.
"Well that wasn't a good comeback. Try harder." I said.
"No there is a ho-" She started but then stopped.
"Well finish you sentence." I said, but instead started moving her hands around. "I don't know sign language."
"Uh just turn around." She said annoyed. So I did. Let me tell you the most attractive male specimen was right behind me and when u looked into his eyes it was like we were the only two people in the world. Then I realized I've been staring at him for about ten minutes.
"Hello my name is Zack."
And in that moment I knew school wouldn't be as bad as I thought it would be.
