I had to leave the country to get a new visa, I was at the Sharjah Airpot in United Arab Emirates.
I have to take a round trip to Muscat, Oman and when I return I should just sit and patiently wait for the arrival of my new visa.
It was my first time to be traveling alone via airplane, of course I was very anxious and a little worried.
On my way there and back I met some people who was in a group, they asked me if I was alone and invited me to join them so I won't be able to bore myself to death while waiting.
We introduced ourselves one by one and I was really surprised that they are not really a group of friends but just met each other on the way to Muscat.
After eating they shared their own stories, a joker was present so he managed to make the conversation light. He made us laugh every time. I was laughing so hard even though I have a very bad headache.
After almost 2 hours, one by one they have received their visa via email or whatsapp and they have to go and print it so they can leave.
Before the joker left he suddenly opened up about worship, we shared each others insight about spiritual topics. The joker preached, at first my mind was in the middle of a battle weather to believe what I'm currently hearing or is it just one of his funny stories, after a while I noticed that he is giving a quite serious and sincere presence.
We all listened to him, after sharing a short prayer with us, he left.
And all of them one by one left the table until I was alone.
One of them told the group earlier that the embassy would close at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, so if you won't get it by then you will probably spend the night in the airport.
I was starting to become really depress because it's already past 3 in the afternoon.
I began to think about what I will do if I get to spend the night there.
I was beginning to lose hope because it's already 4 o'clock. I opened my phone and called my boyfriend to inform him that I might not be able to go back to Dubai that day.
A few minutes after the call, I received my visa via whatsapp!
I thanked God and went on my way.
I rode a taxi to the bus station and while driving she talked to me.
"You know madam you are very lucky"
"Why?"
"Because the last one or two hours there is very long traffic here cars not moving for long time and the others went back to airport to eat"
Imagine the accent of a keralite, no offense but i said "pardon" twice before i got what she is trying to say.
I said lucky indeed.
I started to feel thankful but guilty.
God has kept me in the airport so I can sit comfortably while he is fixing a problem along my way.
He has also spared me from a high taxi fare.
