"Hello?"
One... Two... Three.

"Is there anyone home?"
Four... Five... Six.

"You have mail falling out of your mailbox."
Seven... Eight... Nine... Ten.

I step out from the dark kitchen. I walk slowly to my front door. I haven't walked this way in two weeks. I'm not ready to face the world. I'm walking slowly as I see a women through the glass. I grab the door knob and turn it. I open the door cautiously.

"Can I help you?" I ask harshly.

"Yeah.. I noticed that you haven't left your house in a while. Are you okay Mr. Frank?"
I look at my neighbor, staring at her small frame. She's a cute little thing. She's been in the neighborhood for six months. Her mother died and she wanted to start over. She chose the perfect place. This town is full of misery.

"Call me Landon, please. Also, I'm fine. I just don't have the motivation to leave my home. Thank you for stopping by Raeyln, it's greatly appreciated."

I close the door before she could say more. I hear her stomp down the stairs. I look out the window to watch her walk away. I breathe deeply for a few seconds and then walk down the hall. I step into the kitchen and glance around. I sit down and stare at the picture of him. I lied to Raelyn. I'm not fine, I'm a disaster. I feel lost, confused, stressed, hopeless, useless, and so much more. I haven't been fine.

I'm sorry, I don't mean to ramble when you don't know the story. Well, hello new friend. Let me tell you about my best friend, my first true love, and my everything. Are you ready?
