"C'mon! Please come with me?" Anna said as she pulled on Devon's sweatshirt sleeve. 

"Really Anna? Right now?" he said.

"Yes right now. I wanna show you something." 

"Fine. Only for a few minutes though, my video game is getting intense & I need to beat this level."

"Oh my god. You're so dumb"

"I know, but you still love me right?" 

"Ha. You wish." 

They ran out the front door then Anna let go of Devon's sleeve and ran down the sidewalk. Struggling to catch up, Devon stopped running. 

"Anna please slow down." He said stopping to catch his breath in between words. 

"No! We're almost there!" 

Devon rolled is eyes then smiled. She was so annoying, yet he loved her more than words could explain. She was beautiful and smart and all he ever needed. He was a little worried though because Anna wasn't watching where she was going. 

The sound of glass breaking caught his attention right then. He looked up and his heart began pounding. 

"ANNA. ANNA." 

When he got to the car, he dropped to his knees and began screaming. He pulled out his phone and called 911. 

"911 What's your emergency?" The lady on the phone said. 

"My girlfri- My girlfriend was hit by a car. She wasn't watching where she was going and ran out into the street. Please. Please help me. Please." 

"Sir, what street did this happen on?"

"Ferguson Ave. Please hurry. PLEASE."

"Sir we're on our way."
