Talia's P.O.V
While Riley and I were going on our morning swim, we stopped to pick up Bella and went out normal route. Bella was the only human who knew about us, and that was only because she caught us swimming one day and swore not to tell. We never told anyone because we thought it would be too risky. We didn't want to be seen as freaks, and we certainly didn't want to become an experiment. Anyway, when we got to the moon pool, we soaked for a bit. The warm water felt so good in my hair. My hair was naturally blonde, but it turned completely pink in the water. My tail was blue and orange with some misplaced fins from swimming so hard. My eyes, were naturally blue, but changed to crystal colored eyes in the water, and turned different colors depending on my mood. I guess you could say I it's hard for me to hide my emotions. Riley was naturally blonde, but she had blue ends when her hair was wet, and she had blue eyes, one pure blue and the other blue with a brown center. She had a gorgeous tale that was different shades of blue. Bella was blonde and had gorgeous brown eyes. She wasn't a mermaid, but we loved her anyway. After soaking for a bit, it was beginning to look stormy. We headed back towards the beach to get dried off. On the way, we saw a big cruise ship. We always got nervous around big ships because big ships equal lots of people. We quickly swam Bella over to some rocks close to the shore, and we swam out of site, but where we could still see what was happening. We hid behind some rocks hidden by a tree toppled over in the water when we heard,
"Help! Help!" Someone said splashing in the water, Coming from the ship.
We looked carefully over at the big ship and there was 4 people laughing at another person in the water.
"Can he swim?" I said. Riley shrugged and we swam carefully over to the screaming person in the water. The people kept laughing until they heard the Lightning strike.
"Whoa!" One of them said.
"Okay Louis! It's time to get out! There's lightning!" One of them said. Under the water, I could hear them talking but I couldn't make out what they were saying. They let down a latter and he began climbing. I was confused.
"Maybe he can swim." I said to Riley. We began to turn around when we heard lightning strike and a big splash.
"Lou!!" We heard one of them say. We peeked behind us and saw him sinking. I swam over to him quickly and began taking him to the shore, not even thinking about the fact that my tail is completely exposed. We heard a few more splashes. Another boy, a blonde, jumped in behind the other one to rescue him. He began struggling to fight the strong waves, and eventually stopped moving his hands. Hesitating, Riley was hiding behind the bottom of the boat. She eventually julted toward him. She began bringing him to the shore.

When we both met up at shore, we laid them down on the sand. We looked at each other and I said,
"What just happened?" With my eyes wide. She bit her lip and shrugged. I looked at the boy I had just saved and wiped some sand off his face. I brushed his messy wet hair away from his face, and just stared at him. He looked peaceful, and innocent. I looked up at Riley, who was just as fascinated as I was. Eventually, I heard breathing and I saw his eyes open I little. Riley and I plunged back into the water and swam away.
