"Stephen, get down here before your father eats all of the breakfast." Is what I was woken up to. I groaned. I glanced over at my alarm clock and groaned again. The power had gone off last night and the alarm didn't go off. I quickly pulled on a black shirt and took off my sleep shorts. As I made my way to my bathroom, I pulled some blue jeans on. I quickly brushed my teeth and comed my hair. I dashed down the stairs like a serial killer was after me. My mom wasn't kidding about Dad eating all of the breakfast.

I grabbed a few pieces of bacon as Mom put two pancackes drowned with syrup onto my plate. I quickly ate and was about to leave the table when Mom stopped me. "Stephen, I know that you know that your 16th birthday is next week. After that day, you have two uears to find your mate. If your brother finds his mate before you fond your, he gets the title. I am just reminding you of this." She told me. It was obvious that since I was the firstborn, I would be the favorite. Both my mom and dad favored me over Jason, my brother. I nodded and jogged up the stairs to get Jason. He met me on my way up. He was in his stupid Gryffindor shirt that I hated. He thought that he was going to get his letter three years ago. He nodded to me and I grabbed the keys from my dad. We got into my silver chevrolet camaro and drive off.

As we got to our high school, which was Blue County High School or BCHS, Jason hopped out of the car and ran over to where Bryce, the future Delta and also Jason's best friend who was also a Freshman, was. I parked my car into the FA spot. My best friend, Matthew, walked over. "Can't wait for next week, Stevo!" he exclaimed. I laughed, for the future Beta, he had a good sense of humor. I was going to miss him though. He was going to graduate at the end of this year, which was only three weeks away for me, . He had already found his mate a couple of months ago. She was in most of my classes, which was good for me, because I could see what a good wife she would make for Matt. "Oh, yes, I wonder how big the party will be this year." I told him. He chuckled. We both knew that my parents threw me extravagant parties that only got bigger each year. "Race you to class." He shouted as he started running. Although we had different home rooms, they were right next door to each other. We both slipped into our rooms at about the same time.

The thing about being a werewolf is that you have remarkable speed. "Ah, Stephen,  I see that you are not late, as you usually are." Mr. Lewis is one of the strictest men alive. I groaned, "Yes, sir." . and continued walking to my desk. I had one of seats in the back, so everyone looked at me as I passed. I knew most of the girls were staring at me because they desperately wanted me to be their mate just so that they could be Luna. As I sat down, Mr. Lewis started taking roll. When he called my name, I said here and then zoned out until announcements. "Good morning BCHS! I hope you are enjoying your day today. Hot lunch is hamburgers or chicken tenders. You also have the option of salad. Don't forget to pay your lunch bills! Today is future Delta Bryce's 15th birthday! That is all for now, but don't forget that next week is the full moon! Signing out is your principal, Mr. Lukeworth."

As the announcements finished, the bell rang, signaling that we had to go to First Period. I sighed and picked up my bag. I dashed out of the classroom and into my math teacher's room. As I sat down in my seat in the second row, Mrs. Pilcher smiled and picked up a huge stack of tests. "Since exams are only two weeks away, I'm going to pass back all of your tests from this nine weeks." She did things a little weirdly like that, but you couldn't find a better math teacher. We had taken three tests, three quizzes, and had done a project.when we got them all back, she smiled and started handing out tests that we had to take now. She gave us the whole period to take it. I finished about halfway through the period, brought it up to her, and started playing on my phone. She glanced at me and then looked away. When the bell rang, I hopped out of my seat and ran to my second period class, Science.

Mr. Brett met us as we walked into the door. "Good morning class!" he greeted us. I laughed, he said the same thing everyday to every class he had. Maddie, Matthew's mate was in my class. "Hey, Maddie. Whats up?" I asked her. "Oh, nothing much. Just thinking of Matt." she replied. I laughed. "Aren't you always?" She smiled. "Alright class, get into your seats."
