Today is the first day of school. Let me be honest with you I hate school. I'm the one who isn't into a certain sport. The sports tend to form their own groups. I'm the weird one who is always writing I mean I have great friends it's just they're leaving school this year and next year I'll be alone with the sports people.

"Hey," I say to my friends when I walk through the door.

"How was your summer?" ask Andrew.

"Good, I guess."

Before you ask no Andrew is not my boyfriend he is just a good friend. And no not all of my friends are boys. My "group" is Peter, Andrew, Andy, Hayden, Maddie, and of course Amanda. We have been pretty close ever since I was in Kindergarten. They all play sports too but they are cool so they don't hang with all the people they play sports with. Sometimes you just need a break from people you know? I guess you could say we are the popular kids, but we are in our own world we hardly even notice. When I say we are in our own little world I don't mean we are acting like we are on the moon or something weird like that. We always are making each other laugh every time we hang out together.

We talk for a little longer then the most dreadful sound goes off, the bell. This means the go to class with their class and I go to class with my class. We go to a private school for arts and sports. I'm here for drama and music class. Amanda, Andrew, and Andy are here for basketball. Hayden is here for drama. Maddie is here for volleyball. Peter is here for soccer. We all have different tablet classes except for Andy and Andrew. I don't have to take English because I have two talent classes I just have to keep a journal of what the songs that I write mean and turn that in by the end of the year.

I go to all of my classes and then my favorite part of the day comes, lunch. I go and sit by them.

"My English teacher is insane we have to write a paper on our favorite color and then write a paper about how it became our favorite color. I mean we are in eighth grade not kindergarten. Why can't we write about why we come to this school or something. This is so stupid." says Andy.

I laugh, smile and then I say, "I don't even have to take English."

He laughs, "I know and it's not fair at all."

"Life's not fair."

"True, I just glad I have my talent class next."

I smile again and say, "I have both of mine back to back after lunch."

"Ok are you just trying to make me mad?" he says as he laughs.

"No," I say as I stand up to walk to my next class.

The talent classes are in the same hall so me and Andy walk to class together.
