A Dan and Phil Phan Fiction

2012 - One month after Vegas trip

"Hey Phil!", Dan yelled, from upstairs, "Do you know where the memory cards and camera with all the Vegas footage are? I can't find them anywhere!"

"Aren't they in the camera bag?" replied Phil, who was watching, anime and eating cereal.

Dan searched through all the luggage he'd procrastinated about putting away since they got back. Finally, he stumbled upon the camera bag. Empty. "Ugh" Dan ughed. "Not there!"

Phil stood up and turned off the TV. "I'll be there in a sec!". When he got upstairs, he sat on Dan's bed, which was covered in black clothing and camera equipment. He fumbled through the luggage, helping Dan look for the camera.

After about half an hour of searching, Dan sighed and sat beside Phil. "I give up, it's not here", Dan said, disappointed. "I just wanted everyone to see our wedding..."

2016 - Before USA Tour

"Dan, can you believe in a few months we'll be back in Vegas for the tour?" Phil said, during their morning anime. "Like, think about it, the place we got married!"

Dan sighed, "I just wish everyone knew, I just think if I didn't lose the camera, if I didn't lose the memory cards, I don't know, I'm sorry, Phil", Dan said as a single tear slid down his pale cheek.

"Aw, Dan... It's not your fault we lost the videos," Phil reassured.

"But it is, Phil, it is. I lost all the vlogs, the plane journey and of course... the wedding video," Dan sobbed.

Phil pulled Dan into a warm hug. After about an hour of hugging and watching anime together, Dan decided to go edit some videos. The first was a Sims video. Phil could hear Dan laughing at all the silly moments of Dil's awkward life. Second, was a collab video with Phil and Louise for his own channel. Dan scheduled the upload times and came downstairs to Phil.

"Are you okay now, Dan?" Phil asked.

"Yeah...", Dan replied, "Don't you have a liveshow to be doing?"

"Oh crap, yeah, I'll be back in an hour" Phil said, as he grabbed his laptop and went into his bedroom.

While Phil was doing his liveshow, Dan went upstairs and watched a video he hadn't shown to anyone, he made a few years ago, before he came out to Phil.

"Hello Internet," he saluted, "so today I want to talk about something a little different than my usual funny, relatable videos. I want to talk about... my sexuality." Dan breathed out slowly, "I'm bisexual. Before the comments become a shitstorm, I'll clear up some things. 1. I am not in a relationship with Phil or with anyone else. 2. I have not told Phil or anyone else at this point in time. And 3... I'm scared. I'm scared Phil won't accept me for who I am, I'm scared my friends won't accept me and I'm scared... you guys won't accept me. I don't know."

Dan was starting to cry.

He closed the video and checked the time. 6:51pm. Phil would be finishing up soon.

"I'll see you on the internet soon. Goooooooodbye." Phil said as he ended the liveshow.

"How was the show?" Dan asked Phil.

"It went pretty well, a lot of people were talking about the tour, it was really fun." Phil replied.

Dan was amazed that they had made it this far, they had successful YouTube channels, going around the world on tour. He thought about showing Phil the video... He wanted to see his reaction. Would he be happy? Would he be worried? Dan was unsure.

June 2016 - 1 day before Vegas TATINOF

"Here we are, Dan", Phil said as he stood in front of where they got married. He felt as Dan's hand met his own. They smiled at each other before entering the church, hand in hand.

Dan felt tears dwelling as he entered the church. Suddenly, it all became too real and Dan starting having a severe anxiety attack. As Dan sat down on a church pews, Phil sat with him, patting his knee.

"Phil... I'm sorry I lost the video all those years ago", Dan started, "I wish we could come out to our fans, I wish we could show everyone the video, I wish... I wish everyone knew. I mean I showed you the video I made before I came out to you. I want to show everyone tha-." Before Dan could finish, Phil pressed his lips against Dan's.

"Dan... it's okay, I don't blame you for what happened when we lost the videos", Phil reassured. After an hour sitting in the church pews beside Dan, Phil had an idea. "You know, we've got the camera and tripod in the tour bus, we could recreate our wedding video", Phil said through a tearful smile.

Dan was still shaky from his anxiety, but he wanted to do the wedding video. "Just give me 5 more minutes to calm down...".
