Tutorial? How I Color Skin.

Start from the beginning

4. Not necessary, but it good to add depth.
I usually used the last color to outline, but I also used it to shade the most darkest areas.

5. Remember in the beginning, I made the first color a different layer and the shading in another one? Well now merge it together.
Yeah, you use the merge option.

Its right there. Merge the shading layer, down to the first color layer.

6. Take the first color that you used and blend it.
Most artist like to use the blur tool. But personally I just like to use my brush to blend/smooth it in.

The picture below is how it looks. Okay, so before you blend/smooth it, it probably looks like the first/left picture. But after I paint? or go over it a few time with the base/first skin color. The result is the right photo.

7. Okay, you are practically done from here. But I like to have a lot of shading on my drawings.
So what do I do? I just basically redo the "blend/smooth it" step, to all the color, until I feel satified. (I basically repeat step 6, by stacking from light to darkest color, and basically smooth/blend it out.)

8. Outline and done!
You can't really see the outline, since I usually have my outline, color and shading in one layer. But I want this tutorial to be simple. So yeah, not doing that.

Oh

Oh. Using the pen brush, or any brush really, you can do the eyes. And you are basically done with the skin.

He he... a lot of steps right? I guess you can now see why it takes about 4 to 2 hours on a drawing. I still need to do hair and clothes...
But remember. .. I have been doing digital art for about 3 years now. I am no expert, but I do have some experience with it. And I know many of you is just starting to do digital art, and what I want to say to you guys is...

Its okay to have drawings that you don't like or don't feel satified with

Its okay to have mistakes

It okay if you didn't get it on the first, second, or third try

Not every drawing have to be a work of masterpeice that you spent hours on. (Many people that I meet, seem to think like that for some reason.)

Don't be too hard on yourself.

I mean, this was one of my first digital art/drawing about three years ago

Have any questions? Comments? Complaints about me being a bad tutor?

I will be glad to answer, reply, or agree with them. (I finally have time to be Wattpad. Yay! Also sorry for misused of words or grammer error. Been learning English for 6 years, and still can not get some of the wording right.)

Finally, thanks for viewing!
