Bette Midler woke up one morning and looked out of her bedroom window to see the streets of New York City below her filled with people. She turned around, and was about to walk downstairs to get a cup of coffee, when she realized that her phone had a text message on it. She automatically knew who it was. The person who texted her continuously throughout the day. The person who completed her. The man of her dreams. Martin VonHaselberg. Bette and her boyfriend, Martin, had been dating for quite a while now. Since Bette was 35 (now 41) and Martin was 33 (now 39). They met one night when Bette was singing at a Manhattan night club. After her performance, Bette made her way down to the bar and took a seat on one of stools. She looked so tired out and like she needed someone to talk to. Martin offered to buy her a drink, and so he did.  Ever since then, they have been inseparable.

Bette picked up her her phone and smiled down at the small bright screen to a message that read "Coffee's ready" with a little red heart emoji next to it. Bette had given Martin a key to her New York penthouse since things became serious between the two of them. He liked popping in occasionally just to see how she was and if she needed anything.

Since Martin was there unexpectedly, Bette had to hurry up to make herself look a little better then she did. She brushed down her big poofy blonde hair, brushed her teeth, and put just a little amount of makeup on. She adjusted her nightgown and threw on a very light weight, cream colored, silk robe. She flung open her bedroom door and tried not to appear excited as she continued downstairs. She had seen Martin thousands of times before, but each day was like the first time all over again. She reached the kitchen and saw Martin sitting at the table, drinking freshly made coffee.

"Good morning Martin!" Bette said happily as she passed the chair he was sitting in.

"And good morning to you too princess," he replied as he stood up.

"Why did you decide to come over this early in the morning? Something the matter? But not that I'm unhappy or anything," she said pouring her coffee into her glass mug that had a paisley pattern on it.

He tossed his arms up in the air. "Well! I took the day off of work and figured 'what the hell'. I'll stay with you for the day!"

"Oh. Well that's nice! And thank you for making the coffee by the way. I'm happy you're here," she replied before she leaned down to give Martin a kiss.

"Well... I not only made coffee babe. I made a whole breakfast for ya."

"Why? What about my 'help'?"

"I let them off for today Bette. They'll be back on Monday."

"Okay?... Anyways, what are your plans for the weekend?"

"I don't know. You tell me," he said smirking at Bette as she took another sip of the hot coffee.

"Oh God Martin," said Bette giggling as she playfully slapped the back of her hand off of Martin's chest.

She didn't necessarily disagree with Martin's ideas for the weekend, so she called called her manager to cancel any plans he had made for her that weekend. She wanted to spend it with Martin to make him happy, and that's what she was going to do. Not knowing that one of the cleaning staff members was still there, he want up behind Bette and starting rubbing her sides and curved his hands along with the curved on her body while she was standing at the island finishing eating her breakfast.

"Martin," Bette continued "I just woke up like 10 minutes ago. Couldn't you wait another 10 minutes?" She said in a flirty manner. She had put down her fork and put her arms up behind Martin's head and rested them on his shoulders. He brought his arms around her waist, folded his hands over her stomach, and rested his elbows on her hips. Just then, one of the staff members Bette was friends with walked into the room, saw the couple standing there, and automatically blushed.

"I'm so terribly sorry ma'am. Excuse me, but I'm done for the weekend and I'm going home now," the woman said continuously glancing between the floor and Bette.

"Alrighty! Thank you! Have a good weekend hun," she answered.

"I will! And you two have fun!" the woman said laughing and quickly turning around to leave.

Martin answered back "We always do!" Just then Bette's phone rang and she moaned to sound of it.

"Hello?" she asked.

"Hi Bette! It's Ray your manager. Ummm.. hate to tell ya, but you can't cancel all the plans for the weekend cause you kinda have that photo shoot today that I'm 100% sure you do not want to cancel."

"Dammit!...Well... Alright I guess. Isn't it at 1:30?"

"Indeed it is. Do you want me to send a cab over for you?"

"Sure. Can Martin come too?"

"Fine by me Miss Midler."

"Okay. I'll see you then Ray. Buh-bye." She paused for a moment and then continued when she faced Martin. "Well..I have a photo shoot today. You're coming with me but it isn't until 1:30 later on."

"And we're taking a cab to the studio right?"

"Yep."

Martin hung his head and kissed Bette's neck. She glanced over to the clock and realized it was only 10:15. Bette closed her eyes and slightly leaned back against him. He scooped Bette up in his arms and carried her to the big living room couch. He set her down gently and proceeded over to the chair next to her where he took a seat. "Wait. Why are you sitting over there?" she asked whining.

"Over here," he replied as if it didn't appear to her as a problem.

"Nooo.. Come over here and cuddle with me!" She stood up and waited for Martin to lay down on the couch before her, which he did. She then laid down in front of him. Bette curled up against him while he pulled down the blanket that was on the back of the couch. She reached out from underneath the blanket, pressed a button on the remote, and turned the TV off. Bette turned herself around so she'd have her front side facing Martin. Beginning to look into each others eyes, she batted her eyes then gave him a long passionate kiss. They took each other's hands and intertwined their fingers. With his other free arm, Martin wrapped it around Bette and pulled her the closest she could be. He coaxed her mouth open as they shared another kiss. Their mouths slowly fell apart from each other as she began to doze off.

"Tired baby?"

"Just a- a little," she said yawning.

"Then close your eyes. We have time. Take a nap. "

Both of them woke up to sound a horn honking and Bette rolling off the couch. She frantically asked what time it was and then noticed the clock said it was 1."Holy shit! We're gunna be late! Get the driver to wait like 3 minutes Martin! I'll get my stuff and meet you in the cab.

Martin got the driver to wait a few minutes while Bette ran upstairs to get clothes to change into in the cab. She ran out to the car still in her pajamas carrying her makeup bags, and her outfit for the day. Martin opened the back door for her and she jumped in next to him and sat behind the passenger seat. She couldn't get her nightgown off over her head so she asked him to pull it off, which he happily did. She wiggled herself into some black dress pants and a red, halter, sequin shirt. Martin was twirling her nightgown around in between his hands as she finished applying her makeup. "Give me that," she said snatching her nightgown away from him. Just as soon as Betted calmed down the driver pulled into the studio parking lot at 1:32.
