My left ear twitched, and eyes snapped in the direction of a sound. I didn't expect it. I'm sure we all expected to be dead by now, because we were decorated in targeting beams.
The footsteps grew in volume, and number as whatever had come neared us. I didn't dare move. We hadn't exactly planned for me to be three men short before the fighting started. "Colonel Tyler Halo, and Captain Kelseigh Redmon. Seems like I got exactly what I wanted. Well, one of you anyway." An unfamiliar voice said. It sounded human. In fact, I was sure that it was human until it came into my line of sight. "You're an Angel. How are you speaking our language?" I asked, without moving any muscles besides to speak. "Our? Last time I checked, you were an Angelimarion. Are you not my son?" he asked with a grin. I couldn't help but turn my head. I heard several weapons heating up but the Angel in charge waved them off.
"Your son? Stop with the bullshit. My father is a General of the military force that you fear." I said, now facing him. I can't say what I saw didn't shock me. He was a bit taller than me. He had my mint green eyes which set me from the red-eyed Angels. His face didn't carry the hatred, but wisdom. It was almost peaceful. He wore a white suite which blended with his long white hair. He looked like an older, wiser me.
"I fear nothing but your death. I have watched your every move since we sent you to this horrible planet. You fight well, it's evident that you've inherited the spirit of our people. But, your time is up here. You must return home." he responded. Anger welled up from the darkest void in my heart. It was hard to speak until I could manifest it into words. "Tyler! You're letting this guy get to you. We have a mission." Kelseigh said before I could explode. I looked to her then back to the asshole in white before activating my weapon. Kelseigh gave a small smile and followed. "Get the fuck off of my planet before I fuck up your nice suit." I said with a scowl. The Angel's face had flooded with pain. It made me the happiest I'd ever been. "ANGELS!!" White suit called. Every bastard in the room snapped to the position of attention. "UNLEASH HELL!!!! I yelled while charging.
