Wanda sat up in her room and stared out her window. It was raining hard tonight but that was not what woke her. Since the incident in Wakanda she couldn't stop hearing the screams of those she killed. She hadn't been able to sleep since then. She couldn't even close hers eyes without hearing the news stations calling her awful things.
They were right of course. Cap told her not to think about it but it was to hard not to. She was a murderer, an uncontrollable monstrosity. She
gained her powers to get revenge on those who hurt her. But now her brother is dead and she didn't want the one thing she thought could make her happy.
Tears rolled down her face as she laid on her bed. The rest of the Avengers were out traveling the world and they had locked her away. It wasn't anyone else's fault. She was the one that killed all those people. Tony was right, she couldn't leave the compound. She was to much of a risk.
A hand touched her shoulder gently. Wanda opened her eyes and saw Vision kneeling on the floor by her bed. He looked, worried. She didn't know that an AI could look so scared, so full of emotion.
"I am sorry." He said, "I heard a noise coming from your room. I-I didn't mean to wake you."
"No it's alright, I'm sorry." Wanda sat up and wiped the tears from her eyes
Vision turned his head a little, "What for? You have done nothing wrong."
"For worrying you, I guess." Wanda shrugged her shoulders, "For making you baby sit me."
"You are no baby and I am certainly not sitting on you." Vision said
Wanda laughed softly, "No I meant-"
"I know what you meant." Vision smiled as well, "I am just...Trying to lift your spirits."
"Spirits lifted." Wanda said, still smiling
Vision looked at her. Not in a stern stare sort of way but in a worried, confused way. He lifted his right hand slowly and brought it to Wanda's face. She blushed but didn't move. His hand was surprisingly warm. He was so gentle.
"You need to sleep." He said
"I," She looked down, "I can't."
"Why not? It's very simple." Vision stood, "Here let me show you. Move over."
Wanda moved over and Vision laid beside her. He put his hands under his head, like the way you'd see in a travel ad, and closed his eyes. He laid like this for awhile, his breathing slowed, and to Wanda's surprise he fell asleep.
She tapped his arm then poked his face. He didn't move. Then she had an idea and her face flushed. She moved down a little bit on the bed. Slowly she laid down next to him and placed her head on his chest. She brought her hand up and placed it lightly on her shoulder. As she closed her eyes then froze. Slowly, Vision lowered his arm and rested it on top of her.
Even he didn't know what he was doing. But he enjoyed it. That was the first time Wanda slept in days.
