It was a bright and sunny day when Destiny was sitting in her basement waiting for her best friend Luke to arrive. She waited hours until he finally came "hey, what took you so long." said Destiny. "Sorry I totally forgot until now" said Luke, "well I've been wanting to talk to you about something" said Destiny. "What is it" said Luke excitedly, "what time are we going to the arcade" said Destiny. "Oh, 4:00 o'clock " said Luke. After a while of talking Luke soon had to go back home and Destiny was left all alone again. Destiny's parents had died in a fire when she was a baby, so her drunk aunt, Becky takes care of her. Destiny has to sleep in the cold basement with no beds or blankets while Becky sleeps in her cozy bed.
Destiny woke up the next morning with a blanket that had a note on it the note said "you said you didnt have any blankets so I bought you one last night Love, Luke". It was 12:00 o'clock she only had a few hours until Luke would arrive. She put the nicest shirt she had and waited until 4:00 o'clock. The door bell rang a Destiny ran up to go get it, "Ready to go" said Luke, "Yeah lets go" said Destiny. They drove to the arcade and Luke won a stuffed panda for Destiny and play a lot of games. After that they drove home, "I had a lot of fun today" said Luke "me too, do you want to come in" asked Destiny, "sure" said Luke. They both went to the basement and started talking " hey umm I've been meaning to talk to you about something" said Luke nervously "what is it" said Destiny, "umm will you go out with me" said Luke. " Umm I don't know what to say, but sure" said Destiny.
"Hey, can I spend the night here I don't want to drive this late" said Luke "of course " said Destiny. Luke woke up from a siren in the house, it was the smoke alarm. All of a sudden Luke picked up Destiny and ran up the stairs and out the door as fast as he could. "Destiny, Destiny are you ok" said Luke "I had the weirdest dream there was a fire and you saved me, oh it wasn't a dream was it" said Destiny, "no" said Luke. The firefighters got there and told them that her aunt had died in the fire. "Where am I going to live now" said Destiny, "you can live with me" said Luke. "Umm ok" said Destiny.
When they got to Luke's house they sat down on the coach and did nothing for about an hour until the doorbell rang it was the police "tell me exactly what happened when the fire happened" they said. " All I know was when I woke up the fire alarm was on and there was smoke" said Luke. The police left Destiny started crying "what's wrong" said Luke, "I just wish I could have met my parents" said Destiny "Destiny there's nothing you can do about that" said Luke , "I know I just miss them" said Destiny. There was silences after that, Luke stared hugging her which made her stop crying. They fell asleep hugging on the coach.
Destiny woke up early the next morning and made breakfast. "So uh what's for breakfast" said Luke, "pancake" said Destiny quietly. "Hey, are you ok" said Luke "yeah I'm fine" said Destiny, "are you sure?" said Luke. "Yes I'm positive" said Destiny "Destiny I know when something's wrong with you, you can't hind it" said Luke, "All right I'll tell you, I got a phone call from the doctor and they said that I have brain cancer" said Destiny sadly. "Oh my gosh" said Luke as he sat down on the chair "well I guess we should get to the hospital" Luke said, "ok lets go" Destiny said.
When they got to the hospital the doctor told them that Destiny needed Kemo today. "You can go home is you want Luke" said Destiny, "no I'm not leaving your side until I have to" Luke said, "ok thank you" said Destiny. The doctors gave her the kemo and Destiny was all ready flossing hair. "So Destiny when are you getting the next round of Kemo" said Luke sadly "Well that's what I was about to talk to you about we have to go back tomorrow at 3:00 o'clock" said Destiny. By the time Destiny got the third round of Kemo she was completely bald.
Luke knew that Destiny was in pain when she was getting Kemo, he could tell by the look in her face. After the kemo the doctors said that she wasn't do I g so well so she had to stay at the hospital. "The doctors said you had to stay at the hospital" said Luke "no, no, no i don't want to stay, I want to go home" said Destiny angrily. After a few weeks Destiny really wasn't doing good at all. Luke ran into the hospital because he got a call that said Destiny was doing good. "Destiny, Destiny its going to be ok, your going to be ok" Luke said, "Luke" Destiny said softly "find the..."
