Teonnie POV
It all started junior year at Compton High, all I cared about was school, I had one bestfriend named Maya who I thought was down for me no matter what. One day the most known thug at Compton High approached me, he wasn't respectful but he was so cute I couldn't help but to allow him my number. I still remember the exact words he spoke.
"Damn you fine as fuck, let me get yo number Ma!" I giggled because even though I was a good girl thugs were so cute to me. I gave him my number while Maya looked at me shaking her head. Once he walked off Maya mad sure she exclaimed her disappointment. I didn't pay her a lot of mind because I knew it was something about "Yg" or Keenon. After school that day he texted me saying he wanted to get to know me, I'm an open book about most things but not the things that keep me up at night crying my eyes out, I tell him things I like to do, music I listen to etc. We started hanging out at places like the movies, the park, and arcades. One day my secret would come out and cause Keenon to come to the reality that my life was not perfect.
March 3rd
I just got home from school and had a snack when my father walked through the door infuriated,
"Why are you not cleaning or doing your homework?!" My father yelled.
"I was hungry, I couldn't eat at school because I had no lunch money"
"You're not hungry! And what happened to your lunch money I gave you two weeks ago?!" He yelled some more.
"You gave me $10...if lunch is two dollars and there's 5 days in a week that's $10 gone in one week so that's what happened to my lunch money" I replied getting smart and tired of his nonsense. In one swift move he slapped me knocking me to the floor.
"You're gonna watch who you're yelling at!! I'm gonna give you a reason to yell dumb bitch" he said as he dragged me up the steps to my room by my hair. I instantly started kicking and screaming knowing what was coming, even though my mom was in her room all she did was turn her tv up. Once we made it to my room, he threw me on my bed and I tried to run for the door but I was too weak. He got on top of me and I tried to fight but I was obviously too weak so I decided to zone out, I started to think about marrying Keenon and having kids and singing with him on stage. When my dad was done I knew it because he beat me with a belt taking me out my fantasy causing me to scream. "I thought you liked it rough baby girl?" He questioned while laughing, after he went and turned my shower on yelling for me to get in the shower. He walked out leaving me in my bed holding my knees in shock. After sitting there for 20 minutes, I climbed out of bed walking to my window climbing out, even though my room was on the second floor I got safely to the ground. Keenon always calls me a monkey. I instantly run towards Yg's house two blocks away. When I made it I beat on the door repeatedly ready to pass out. Mama Shonee opened the door shocked at how I looked.
"Omg Nee Nee what the hell happened?! Get in here!" She yelled worried.
"Mama who at the door? Did you say my girl name" Kee yelled from the kitchen where they were having dinner.
"Kee it's Teonnie, and she's hurt come here so I can get my first aid kit" Keenon came out running and when he saw my appearance he instantly got upset, he clenched his teeth, helping me to the couch carefully. By the time we got to the couch he was tearing up. I was shocked because I've never seen him cry and he's been through a lot.
"Who did it?" He asked sounding calm as ever.
"Kee I can't say" I reply, he turns towards me with his eyes popping out his head.
"Fuck do you mean? Do you see how bad you look & you protecting them?!" He replied instantly getting upset.
"I don't know what I look like, I was scared to look in my mirror after he left my room I just ran here" I exclaimed.
"He? Who is he? He was in your room? Come on we about to go to the bathroom so I can show you what you look like!" He carefully grabbed my arm walking me to the bathroom. When I looked at my face in the mirror I was disgusted, I started to cry and I ended up letting the information slip.
"It was my daddy Kee, he always gets mad and takes it out on me, I'm so scared, please don't tell anybody" I pleaded crying harder. Keenon was going to argue but Ms. Shonee told him no. He just hugged me and wiped my tears away.
Ms.Shonee shewed him out the bathroom, and started to dress my wounds.
"Did he took you in any other way?" Shonee asked nervously.
"No ma'am" I stuttered knowing that if someone was informed I would end up in foster care, I'm almost 18 and I'll be gone. I messed up because she looked at me unsure, she knows I always call her mama so when I said ma'am she knew I was lying but she could only helped me if I wanted it. She told me to get in the bath and she'll come in with some towels and clothes I could probably fit because I'm thick. I sat in the bathtub slowly trying to ease the pain. Suddenly Kee snuck in the bathroom.
"Eww you nasty! Get out" I said while laughing.
"Shut up I came in to check on you and tell you I'll be back later most likely before you go to sleep" he replied chuckling.
"Ugh okay"
"Shut up and give me a kiss"
"Stop ittt you know I love it when you call me that" I said while laughing pecking his lips.
While mama Shonee was walking in, Kee was walking out
"Damn" he exclaimed, causing Shonee to slap him on the back of his head.
"Don't play with me boy leave her alone"
"Alright mama dang...ill be back mama" he said while laughing, giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"Ughhh okay Kee... And don't kiss me ion know what you do with those lips" she said while laughing trying to lighten the mood because she knew what his plan was. He had called Slim & TeeCee making sure they knew his plan. When he walked outside they were waiting on him. To this day I don't know what actually went down but my dad never hit or raped me again.
