I felt my heart beat accelarate, missing? How could I be missing?

"I'm missing?"

The nurse nodded, "Your school called your mom and your mom called the police."

"I..I was at their place." I said, pointing to Dan. But he wouldn't know because he was in the hospital.

The nurse ran out of the room, talked to the receptionist, then came back in 5 minutes later. "The police are on their way. They wanted me to check if you're in complete health. Come with me." I sighed, looked at Dan, then followed the nurse.

When Margaret and Angie saw me, they followed. "Where are you taking her?" Margaret demanded. The nurse turned around, "Char Willis wa pronounced missing early this morning. I need to check her health."

"I watched her! She's completely fine! I didn't even know she was reported missing!" Margaret yelled. The nurse whipped head towards Margaret, "Ma'am, I'm sorry, but this is proper procedure. We need to know if she is in complete health." She grabbed my wrist, then forced me to follow her.

She led me to a room where I was supposed to sit down and wait for an actual doctor and a police man to come. Within five minutes, a man wearing a suit and a red tie arrived in the empty room along with a doctor.

"Hello, Charlotte. I'm Detective Anthony Roberts." I sighed, "Char. People call me Char."

He shrugged his shoulders, "Alright, Char, the doctor is just going to make sure you're in complete health, but I have to ask you a few questions." He said, pulling out a white notepad. I nodded as a female nurse began to touch me almost everywhere and taking tests, to make sure nothing horrible happened to me. It felt uncomfortable, but I had no choice anyways.

"Where were you between 6 AM and 7 PM?"

I coughed a bit, "My little sister woke me up, telling me my boyfriend's mom had called and she was crying so I got dressed and ran over. And then I found out he died. I skipped school and I stayed there in his room."

The detective nodded, writing this down in his notebook. "Why didn't you tell your mom?" I sighed, "I didn't want her to know about Aiden yet."

"She's sick, very weak, dehydrated, and should gets lots of rest." The doctor interrupted.

I didn't even notice how weak and tired I was. I was sleeping and crying all day. Suddenly, my mom, Emily, and another officer ran into the room. My mom hugged me tightly and I felt like sleeping. "Char-Char!" Emily yelled, jumping on my lap. Reality kicked in and I felt like fainting.

I woke up to everything spinning, but it was just a black ceiling to a police car. "She's awake, what do I do?" I heard my mother say to the officer. "She can take the pain pills before bed, we're almost back at your house, Ms. Willis."

That's all I heard before I fell out of consciousness again.

"Don't scare me like that ever again, okay?" Mom said, tucking me into bed after giving me my pills."

I nodded, "K. I'm tired, mom." She nodded and kissed me on the cheek, "Night, sweetheart." She turned off the lights then closed the door.

I wish everything can just reverse itself. I didn't want Aiden to die. I wanted him to kiss me on the forehead like he always did then hugged me so tightly that no one could ever do. He'd tell me I was amazing at piano and singing, and that people would think I was amazing. He would treat me like a princess, and never be angry at me. He fell in love with me and I fell in love with him.

I closed my eyes as the pain pills slowly put me to sleep.
