Alex walked out the door and heard a voice from across the street
"Hey Alex"
Alex waved and John ran towards him. They walked together to school as usual until Alex opened his mouth and asked John if he did his English homework.
"AHH no Alex, this is a matter of life and death can I copy your homework" said John while holding onto Alex's shoulders and looking into his eyes like a puma looking at his prey or something
"Sure.. but-" The boy couldn't finish his sentence over his friend's annoying face
"Thank you!" John smiled like an idiot
The two boys finally arrived at school and Alex gave John his English note book
"Just give it back before English class starts"
"Mhmm" John said and took the notebook and ran to class

The school ended and the boys went to Alex's house and played video games in his room.
"Hey Alex... No never mind"
"Tell me, what is it?"
"can I stay overnight?" John asked
"Why?" Alex asked
"I just have family problems"
"Yeah sure, I'll get the mattress" Alex said and called his sister and asked her to ask her where their mattress had gone
"I threw it away, did you need it?" Susan asked
"What, why"
"It was old"
Alex sighed "John is staying over"
"Well I guess you'll just have to share the bed with him"
"Damn I'll just go and get a pillow and an extra blanket" said Alex and walked out the bedroom door
