Dear Rick (can I call you Rick, I assume I can because you "created" me),

First of all, I am so grateful you brought me into existence. I had a great life up until my mom died and I became homeless and couldn't live with either of my uncles and didn't really have anyone to go to and I had to sneak food from people and I died. But anyway, thank you. Now I've got some questions and concerns for you Riordan.

Why did you do this to me? I mean you're great and all, but you killed me. I only had, what, five chapters to actually live. Why did I have to die? I am wicked awesome, despite the fact that I didn't really do anything before I died. What did I do to deserve death? Okay, sure, I am closer with Annabeth because of this and I have great new friends, but I don't understand why I couldn't die at the end of the book. Okay, but not only did I die, I had scalding lava thrown at my gut and then I drowned in a river. I mean was that really necessary? Death hurts.

Now for my next concern: How can I live being dead? Well, you seem unable to control your writing, so it looks like I'm in the clear. Everybody, everybody gather round, I think I've spotted a preview for a second book. I mean WHAT! I thought my story was over. I found the sword, I stopped the apocalypse, I lived "happily ever after," what more do you want from me? Why can't I just live out my life? Everyone else gets to, or they die, but I've already done that.

Please respond in a reasonable time frame, I've got things to do, apparently. Thank you for reading all of this. I hope you enjoyed it. *Looks to the audience*I know he didn't really read any of it.

Sincerely yours,

Magnus Chase
