          "Hey girl!"

Marinette turned her head, locking eyes with a grinning Alya.

Marinette's best friend barelled down the high school steps, a smile of glee threatening to split her face. Marinette froze, then stepped back as Alya stopped in front of her, hands on her knees and breath coming out in short pants. Alya turned her head up and faced her friend, trying to form words.

Mari-" Alya gasped, "Adrien is - is - here - a - and -" Alya put a hand to her heart and slowed her breathing down so Marinette could understand her words. She then sprung up and grabbed Marinette's shoulders. Alya shook them, causing her surprised friend's head to jerk back and forth.

Marinette couldn't take it any more and was getting a headache. "Stop! Alya geez! Why are you acting like this? If I didn't know better, I would think that Nino asked you out and you said yes!"

Alya blushed and stopped shaking Marinette, but kept a firm hold on her shoulders. "Adrien is doing a huge photo shoot and he needs a tux-"

"Ok Alya he's doing a photo shoot, so?"

"-hand made and a dress hand made for a girl he's photo shooting with! He also said that the maker has to be a girl and has to wear the dress she makes! You should do it! It'll look great!"

Marinette sighed. "Alya, I can make the dress and tux for Adr - wait! THE MAKER HAS TO WEAR IT?"  Marinette then pulled at her hair. "Alya I can't do that. I'll just make the tux - "

Alya grinned mysteriously. "You can't choose, you have to make both!"

Marinette threw her hands into the air, then covered her face with them. "Alya," she wailed, muffly, "I can't do it! I'll probably mess up and stutter when I try to talk to him - no, even worse! I'll trip and fall, messing up the dress and tux!"

Alya wrapped her arm around Marinette's shoulder and led her up the steps toward the school.

"Marinette, you can do it, I know you can! This is you chance to show Adrien how creative  you are and that you like him! It would be perfect! If you do this, Chloè would have nothing on you! A designer is what you're meant to be; it comes naturally!"

Marinette turned her head away from Alya and muttered under her breath, "Yeah, what I'm meant to be, not who I am," Marinette continued to brood until Alya brought her back to reality.

"Look," Alya whispered. "It's Adrien. Go tell him your gonna do it. He'll be honored!" With a grunt, Alya pushed Marinette up the rest of the stairs. Marinette yelped and squeaked as her foot hit the last stair and she tripped. Right when she was about to hit the ground, Marinette stopped.

She glanced up and came face - to - face with a concerned Adrien. Marinette got to her feet and put a hand behind her neck. Smiling akwardly, Marinette spoke. "H - Hi, uh, Adrien! I'm, um, sorry for run - ning into you and I, er, hope it's ok - kay i - if I could makethetuzedoanddressforyou!"

Adrien starred at Marinette, more concern etched onto his face. He then gently held Marinette's hand in his own, speaking quietly. "Marinette, what did you say?"

Marinette turned her head and blushed, squeezing Adrien's hand. His eyes flickered toward their hands, then back up to Marinette's face. Marinette calmed her shaking insides, then finished her question. "Adrien, is it ok if I could design and create the tuxedo and dress you need for the photo shoot?"
