Day 1: Holding Hands

It was a stupid rule if you thought about it.

"No public displays of affection during school hours."

Fine. You do not want children attempting eat off each other's faces in the hallways of Gotham Acamdy. That was fair. That was understandable. Of course some teachers took that a little to far.

As usual, it was a cloudy day in Gotham city. The lunch bell had sounded and, as they always did, Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon ran to their tree. They laughed, talked, and smiled as they always did together. Their natural connection made it so they always seemed intimately close to each other. Yes, they were a couple at the time, but they have been close to one another since third grade.

The pair got so close that their noses touched. The teens laughed like only best friends could.

"Gordon! Grayson! You know the rules, seperate!" Miss Needles was one of the strictest teachers at the Acamdy. She treated the student rule book as if was Holy law sent from a divine being. Dick and Barbara grumbled and seperated slight.

The next day at lunch a similar situation happed. Barbars smiled as she ran her fingures through the raven hair of her companion. Dick smiled as well, just so happy to be sitting with his darling Babs under a tree.

"Gordon and Grayson! What did I tell you two? Keep your paws off of each other!"

Dick was slightly sad the third day. It would have been his mother's birthday. He had already placed flowers on her grave but he still was slightly mournful. Barbara did what any caring girlfriend would do and hugged Dick. It was a wonderful hug that made him feel happy.

Apparently it was a crime as well.

Miss Needles handed them both pink slips and joined them on their walk of shame to the principal's office. Dick and Barbara sat outside waiting to be called in. Dick intertwined his figures with Barbara's. They sat their silently holding hands. Now the dynamite duo had their own little rebellion anginst Miss Needles.
