As she started running as quickly as possible through the woods. She held onto a small dagger and she only had anger reaching her emotions. Her heart was racing and beating so loud that you could probably hear it in outterspace. Millions of things were racing through her mind. Then she heard something far off into the distance.
"I Got A Pocket Got A Pocket Full Of Sunshine." Brittan was woken up by her phone going off. It was her mom.
"Hello?" Brittan said in a hushed tone with her eyes still half closed.
"Britt, I just wanted to make sure you got to Emilie's okay. Remember everything happens for a reason baby." My mom was always the worried person in my family after my father suddenly past away a few years back.
"Mom, It's only for my first year of High School. Nothing is really gonna happen" I tried to stay as positive as possible cosidering I haven't seen my sister yet. When I got to her house her door was unlocked so I just walked in and went to the closet open bedroom I could find.
"Just one year. Well, I have to get back to work. Call me after school. Bye." Then she hung up right before i could even get a word out.
I walked out of the room I slept in. I heard a female voice coming from the living room. I was a bit worried because I haden't seen Emilie since I was 7 and now i'm 15. Now she was 22. She left with my aunt when she was 13 to grow up else where.
I walked into the living room and not only was a female there standing. There were also 3 people sitting on the sofa. One was a red-headed female and the other two were male. The female standing looked at me and she picked up a dagger on the table.
"Who are you!!??" The tall standing blonde yelled.
"I'm Brittan. Brittan Drake. I was sent here for my first year of highschool by mom Amanda Evans. I was looking for my older sister Emilie." I tired to stay polite even though I was scared and was ready to run screaming.
The blonde's eyes became more caring and she dropped the dagger and ran and held onto me as strongly as possible. The only thing I was thinking was if I should be scared and if i was gonna end up being kidnapped.
"I'm Emilie. I-I-I thought you died when you were 7. At least that's what I heard. Where is dad? Why did mom change her name and where is she at?" Emile asked a lot of questions.
The only thing I could even say was, "Since when were you blonde?" I just stared at her because she looked so different.
"I changed a lot since I left home. After all I was 13. My hair just went blonde over time. Now back to my questions." She seemed so interested in what I was going to say.
"Well, I didn't die as you can see. Dad was the one who died. No one knows how. Well if mom knew she wouldn't tell me and as for mom she is just being her. She sent me here for a stage only you could help me with but I'm completely clueless." I felt like I was giving her a life story.
"Dad died? That means that. Oh nevermind. Don't listen to me. Anyways, how old are you now?" She seemed like she was over thinking a bit.
"Wow, You forgot how old I was. Very nice but i'm 15." I tryed my hardest to ease the awkwardness with sarcasim.
"15 and you are just going through the stage. I can't belive it. It's happening." She seemed happy but worried at the same time.
"What are you talking about Em?" I questioned her.
"Stage. As in teenage-" I cut her off before she could even finish that sentence.
"Yeah, I didn't need to know that." I smiled
