I come from a society gone wrong,
Where every person is told not to be themselves.
I come from a quiet town,
But loud city.
I come from smart phones,
But dumb people,
I come from teasing and loneliness,
All because you're different.
I come from classic music,
And rock bands.
I come from broken promises,
But more broken trust.
I come from books,
Even more from learning.
I come from better times,
When the world told less lies.
I come from flip phones,
And football.
I come from the outside,
Family times.
I come from being alone,
But I'm never not loved.
I come from an absent father,
It wasn't his fault.
I come from friends leaving,
Some staying.
I come from up North,
And down South.
I come from never giving up,
Never giving in.
I come from being me,
What more could I need.
