My alarm went off. I groaned into my pillow. I got up and stretched yawning. I got up and got ready for the day. I looked in the mirror and was satisfied with my look. My straight blonde hair looked radiant. My White-tee that went just above my stomach, and my blue sweatpants looked fairly good on me.

I sighed looking into the mirror. Today was "Adoption Day". Today people would come in looking to adopt kids. I didn't expect to get adopted today, since they always looked for younger kids, but a girl could always hope.
I went down to breakfast. i was met with a chorus of " heyys" and " hello's". I sat down with just a cup of coffee and scrolled through my texts.
Then 15 minutes later our Head Marie came in. She smiled at us.
"Hello guys. I hope everyone enjoyed breakfast. I just wanted o say a few words." She said and clasped her hands together. " So today, like every month, many of you will be leaving. getting adopted. I just wanted to say that each and every one of you has brightened this.......house. But do not be sad. This is a new beginning for each of you and i'm happy for you" she said and everyone clapped. some people sniffed. I smiled and looked around. I grabbed my plate and put it in the sink. I went and sat on the couch. and soon everyone filed in. And then the clock struck 9:00, and the "Games Began".
