She gazes at him, her hands clutched together, heart fluttering, cheeks booming as a rose would in spring. The boy, Eternal, was beautiful to her. He had short amber hair, and eyes with a mixture of green, silver, and blue. He didn't notice her, no one ever seemed to, she was as quiet as the morning mist, and as shy as a butterfly. She takes one, small step as she trembles with excitement. She had gathered up all the courage she could carry for this one moment, where she would tell him her feelings. A small smile dances across her face, as she thinks of her dreams coming true. Then she shivers as she thinks of the possible rejection. Her hands tighten even more desperately, as she sadly walks back into the shadows. Heart sinking she looks at her feet waiting for recess to end. Thoughts of misery swirl in her mind. Eternal, the person she cared about the most, wouldn't see her, like everyone else.
"Hi, I'm Eternal, what is your name?"
Her cheeks flare up again this time in shock. He had noticed her afterall!
Confused, he shifts a little and asks, "Hello?"
She snaps back to reality and notices her chance slipping away. She needed to speak, but words were jumbled up from the energy within her. She stutters, "U-u-m m-y-name is S-silver M-m-i-ist Flos." Then after a slight pause, "I am pleased to m-meet-y-you."
The bell rings through the courtyard as students bustle into the building.
Eternal waves happily saying, "Same here. See you around." He walks into the building alone as he always is. Silver tries to follow but can't. She mourns, thinking, if only I had the courage to walk with him.
