To Hell And Back

1. Winter's Beginning

Sighing , I fell into to step behind Reign as we made our way towards the house. 

Most teens try to enjoy all of their winter break but apparently we are not "Most teens"  

One minute we're all relaxing in our homes the next we're getting a call from our house administrator to inform us we were getting a new housemate. So after a majority vote, all  8 of us made the journey back into the dreary town of Asterville in which Scoperta Boarding School resides. 

The word for discovery in italian .Scoperta is indeed quite an odd name for a school but it actually fits in reference to it's unorthodox practices. Our motto is to "Discover to the new".

A stupid cliche in my opinion even though we pretend to have school spirit. As senior residents of House 38 it was required of us.  

"Do you think it's a guy or girl?" Reign asked, curious as always.

"Who gives a fuck!?! I just want to know who enrolls in a boarding school during the second semester" Will mumbles as he ruffles his purple hair.
Obviously highly upset that his break was interrupted.

"Well maybe they needed a fresh start from their old school" Demetri says matter of factly , rolling his eyes.

Reign and I share a irritated look as the two 'discreetly' throw jabs at each other by contradicting the other's opinion. Will, Reign, Demetri and I were like the four musketeers before the boys had a falling out.

Thankfully instead of breaking our group up , they decided to be cordial with each other. However that didn't stop them from throwing shade everyonce in a while.

" I hope it's a guy so Sena can get over her break-up" Demetri states, nudging me playfully.

I push him away trying to hide my irritation.

"I'm already over it" I respond while observing the slightly hurt look on Reign's face, causing me to feel even more guilty.

A couple months ago I drunkenly made a deal with our friend Thomas. We'd fake date to make Reign jealous and admit her feelings for him.
At first no one believed it until Tommy and I made out at a party, both of us either high or drunk.

This went on for a while before I finally came to my senses and stopped trying to drink my emotions away.
I told Thomas that I didn't want to pretend and hurt my best friend anymore. Thomas didn't react very well and a violent argument broke out which ended with him having a handprint on his face and me having bruises on my arms.

After telling everyone we broke up things were almost back to normal with the exception of everyone treating me like I was fragile and Reign still hiding her obvious hurt.

"Let's just hurry up and go in ,The others are already inside!" I fake excitement to change the subject.
Jogging up the stairs to house and pratically throwing the door open.

I refrain from yelling ' honey I'm home' as I remember that Ms.Peters is here to introduce the new kid.

As I reach the living room area, I spot Ophelia causing me to squeal.
I hug her excitedly before greeting everyone else in the room with a casual wave.

Then it felt like everything was moving in slow motion as my brown eyes met hazel ones.

The bo- no man stood next to Ms.Peters , towering over her intimidatingly.
Looking something like a Modern day Adonis, He had to be at least 6'4...a bit taller than Thomas with dark brown curls sat neatly on top of his head.

The mere sight of him seemed to take my breath away and my feet seemed to have a mind of their as they inched towards him.

What was happening to me.
