The Darkness Within Hearts
~Chapter 1~
|A Vampire Claiming me?|
"What was that?" I said to myself.
There was a constant banging down stairs that woke me from my sleep. I got out of bed and walked out of my room in my nighty. I had to walk quietly since the floor boards sometime make a creepy creaking sound. I didn't want to wake up dad since he'd get into a bad mood after being awaken in the middle of the night. I bet there's nothing that can compare to how scary he can be.
I went down stairs, cautious of where I stepped. My house wasn't really big, I'd say it was average. I stopped to hear out where the sound could be coming from. There it was again. This time I knew where it was, my basement.
Why did it have to be my basement? WHY?? I was always freaked out to go down there during the day. So how do you think I'm going to react to this? Well I'm dead scared to find out what's been making the noise. It was like some thing crawled in through the window there and landed with a thump. I took a breath in before twisting the golden door knob and swung it open. I glimpsed down into the darkness and didn't blink for a second.
My heart was racing for each second as I carefully stepped down stairs. I could have at least brought a torch or something. Well I can't go back now, I'm already at the bottom. I flickered my eyes around the room as I thought I saw some possible movements. What is this thing? I noticed the window was wide open and walked over to close it. I looked outside and saw the swaying trees in the wind. Maybe it was a cat or something.
As I closed it, something knocked over a box behind me and I jumped.
"Who's there?" I gasped as a reflex.
Of course, no one replies.
I found a base ball bat leaning against the wall and held it up. I wasn't much of playing baseball, but I know that I'm good at hitting something. I walked in the darkness, clueless of what was hiding down here. There were black figures of the things that were down here. Like that old chest of drawers, my old rocking horse and that funny looking palm tree lamp.
A shiver ran down my spine so I stopped in my steps. My heart was now pounding against my rib cage, frantically. There's something down here and I know I'm not going to like it. I spun around and felt something grab me.
"Ah!, who are y-" I almost screamed but was muffled.
Being startled, I dropped the bat. It fell with a *Clank* to the ground as I stood in fear.
I couldn't see who it was but it was someone. I looked in the reflection of an antique mirror which laid against the wall with the cloth hanging off. It revealed his figure. He was tall but that was all I could tell, besides the fact that he was ice cold. His hand removed my dark brown hair from my face. He ran a finger down my neck as I couldn't move. What does this pervert think he is, violating me like this! He tightened his grip with an arm around me. His head moved closer towards my neck as I could feel his cold breath. I shut my eyes, wishing that this is just a dream.
A nightmare.
There was a sharp pain at my neck as I tried to push him away. I felt a drop of my blood run down my neck and into my chest. A sudden flow of pleasure ran through my body. I almost couldn't handle the pulsing sensation escaping my lips from a moan. What the hell is he doing to me "Nngh." my arms dropped from pushing him and fell to my sides. I felt weak from the loss of blood and the over excitement. My face felt red, as if I blushed.
I blacked out into the numbness . . . .
A beam of light woke me up as it escaped past the crack in my curtains. I sat up abruptly and looked around. I was in my room. Hm, maybe that was only a dream. But it all felt real. . .
