"Well, we weren't told anything until it got down to the last five. Then we were asked our opinion on each of them." Tom replied.
"There are a couple that we liked, but we got the final say on who was the successful candidate." Max added; which means that whoever was picked, was going to have been hand picked by the band and they were going to have loved something specific about them to make them pick her out of the other four who were there.
"And can you tell us anything about the one that you picked?"
"We can't really let much slip, but we were all in agreement that she was perfect for the job. She can do everything that an assistant is meant to do, and so much more." Siva said, his Irish accent was just perfection and I never really understood how people could hate him.
"Lets just say, when she is told that she is going to be working for us, it's going to be one hell of a shock for her because we've heard about how little confidence she has in herself to actually do well and succeed. We felt like she deserved a chance, and we hope she doesn't disappoint us." Nathan stated; if that wasn't a confidence booster for all five of us, then I don't know what will be because that's one of the best things they could have said while they were doing this interview.
"Final question before we move on. Who is going to tell the successful candidate that they got the job?"
"That, for now, remains a total surprise." Tom laughed; his laugh was the best and it was one of my favourite things about him because it was one of them infectious laughs that just made you smile when you heard it.
I continued to listen to the interview all the way to the address that had been sent to me where we were all supposed to be meeting and, when I looked at the time, I saw that I was now five minutes late; which wasn't going to impress anyone and it wasn't going to make me seem like a reliable person - if I was the one that had been picked for the job; which was highly unlikely.
I pulled up outside, seeing that the other girls were already here and waiting for me to turn up.
I walked into the door, noticing a young looking girl sat at the desk. As I approached her, she gave me a warming smile and a polite nod before she spoke to me.
"And how may I help you?" she asked.
"Erm, hello, I'm Emma Jones and I'm here to see Kevin Myers. I know I'm a bit late, but I had some shoe trouble this morning." I replied awkwardly as I smiled shyly at her.
"Ah. You're here to discover if you've got the assistant's job with The Wanted, right?"
"Yes. Are the other four here yet?" I questioned curiously, just wanting to see if my earlier assumption was actually right or if I was totally wrong and I wasn't the only person who had turned up late.
"Nope. We're still waiting for Daisy, but if you would like to go through. It's the second floor, room number eight." the girl replied as she pointed to the general area I was supposed to be heading in order to find out my fate.
"Thank you."
"Good luck Emma. If it was down to me, then you would have got the job straight away." she chuckled before resuming her work on her computer and I walked away, heading towards the lift just as I felt the vibration of my phone in my pocket.
I removed it to see that it was a text message from my bestfriend, Mary - we meet in Starbucks more than two years ago; the same Starbucks in which she still works now because she loves her tea more than anything. Whenever we meet up with each other, we always end up in Starbucks because she has to have at least one tea or day, or she doesn't feel like a normal person.
