The Immortal Killer

Chapter 1: Death and Disease 1350A.D

Dex strodes down the pathway looking left and right. He is followed by his twin brother Drako with brown hair and green eyes. He wears an old looking suit that's at least 30 years old. Dex himself has jet black hair with yellow eyes, and is wearing a black robe and all his skin is covered up. His face wears the leather mask of a plague Doctor. His brother is carrying a bag with various medicines in it. "Do you think she will be ok?",Drako asked. "With your alchemy skills I believe she will be. I mean you really shouldn't worry about her as much as you do", dex answered back. Drako has a sly smile on his face, "then maybe you shouldn't worry about Cecilia so much then". Dex looks down and thinks for a few minutes then stops and looks back at Drako. "You know I have a very reasonable reason to be afraid for her health. I mean if she touches me she will.." "It's ok brother that. That won't happen. Trust me. I wish you would tell me why no one can touch you tho". Dex looks forward and continues walking down the road. After 30 minutes they get to bigger house out of the many small ones around it. The outside is very tidy looking and not dirty at all with posies growing in the front. Dex knocks on the door. An older man answers the door. "Oh thank god your here. My daughter is very sick. I think she might be infected. The disease has already taken my wife from me". Dex smiles under his mask thinking of the disease. "Don't worry me and my brother will make sure your daughter won't pass", Drako replies. The twins walk inside and are lead to a small bed in a room where a sick girl lays on a bed. Her skin is covered in boils. Drako stares at the girl and covers his mouth and starts crying but hides it. "This is my daughter Claudia", the old man says, "she's been like this for days". Dex walks over to the girl and surveys her. "Brother I believe I will need some ground up poppies and that other ingredient you have from home", Dex says. The girl looks up at Dex scared, "what ingredient", her voice sounds soft and sickly. "It's a family recipe. You pick up some things after 20 years of this". Drako walks over to Dex with a small cup of a bright green glowing cream. Dex puts some of the cream on his finger and wipes it on all of Claudia's boils. "She will be ok sir", Drako says to the old man. "Thank you two so much", the old man smiles and goes over and looks at his daughter. Claudia is sleeping and the cream is glowing on her skin. "How can I ever repa-" The two brothers are gone outside. "I think we better go home", Drako says,"that was the last one today". "Ok. I'm going to head home then". "You need my help". "No I think I can make it back just by sound and mental remembrance". "Ok then. You better not go see Cecilia. You know how her father feels about you too". "Ya. Sure I know. The real thing is if I care". Dex walks off to his house and changes into a suit identical to his brothers and grabs his wooden stick and wraps his eyes in a black cloth. Then a knock is heard at his door. "Hello Dex. May I come in", it's a woman's voice. "Yes. Please come in". A young woman walks through the door. She has black long hair over her shoulders with blue eyes, and is wearing an elegant looking dress. "Rick I didn't think you would be home". "Why would I leave when I know you will come to treat me", Dex says with a flirtatious tone in his voice. In the human world Dex goes by the name Rick as an alias so he won't be found out. Cecilia giggles and blushes red. "You know we can't do that till we're married silly". "Your father would never allow that". "My father doesn't run my life any more. He died to the plague a few days ago". "Oh I'm. Sorry for your loss". "Don't be my father was a drunken freak. You couldn't tell because you never saw him". "I never saw anybody". Cecilia laughs. "Oh sorry sometimes I forget. You seem to be able to see so well even tho your blind. Well. What do you think I look like"? Dex looks over Cecilia and smiles. Your a beautiful woman inside and out I hope. He rubs his hand on the cloth of her dress. "Your always wearing the most elegant clothes and-" runs his hand down her hair. "You have long hair that drapes so gracefully over your shoulders". Cecilia stares at Dex amazed about how mush he could figure out. "You..your right how"?  "Because I know you so well my darling", Dex smiles. Cecilia smiles and blushes red. Dex gets up and walks over to Cecilia and kisses her on the lips. "Maybe.....", she grins feeling totally vulnerable, "I don't need to wait till marriage".
