Broken

Chapter one: The best friend

Abby streched her long fingures over her keybord. She heard a sharp piercing scream, followed by a distinct cracking sound of a hand hitting flesh. She heard low muffled sobs. She was used to it.

Abby clicked out of the essay she was writing and went on to instagram. Ethan had liked again. She posted an old photo with the caption 'sorry i havent been on in ages, i have been really busy but ily guys'.
Straight away likes and comments pored in. Abby sighed and logged out of instagram. She shut down her computer and went to go have a shower. She piled her long blonde hair on top of her head and started to strip.

She looked in her full length mirror. Bruises covered her body head to toe. She fingured a huge bruise of her hip lightly, it still stung. A tear run down her cheek. No one could ever know, no one could ever find out. Or else it would get worse.

Abby sighed again she got into the shower. She winced as the cold water splashed on her sore body. After a short shower Abby's phone rang. It was her best friend Janessa. Abby first met Janessa on the internet. She had met her once in real life and they have been best friends since Abby started her fan page. Janessa was her only real friend. 'Guess whos going to see the Dolan twins !' Janessa said not bothering to say hello. 'Who?' Abby said knowing what was coming next.

'We are dahhling, surprise !' Janessa shouted excitedly. 'I brought us tickets as your early birthday present, you can thank your fairy godmother' Janessa said smugly.

'Thanks' abby mumbled her heart not really in it.

'Come on gurl, get your head in the game'  a cross voice came out of her phone

'Im not hanging up untill you cheer up' Janessa continued

'Sorry' Abby replied 'my dad.........' Tears stared to run down her face

'You know i care, but we cant do anything about it, and i want to kill him for what hes done to you and your mum' Janessa responded knowingly in a soft, caring voice. Janessa was the only other person that knew.

'It will take your mind off it ?!?' Janessa sounded hopeful

' Ok and Janessa thank you really, i love you babe ' Abby said wiping her tears from her eyes.

'Love you too hun, you know id to anything for you. And right now im counting down the days till i can see your beautiful face again'  Janessa replied hanging up.

Abby lay on her bed. She was slightly cheered up. Seeing her bestfriend again and the Dolan twins made the world seem a slightly brighter place. Abby curled up in a ball and cried herself to sleep. The only reason she was still here was because of her beautiful best friend 💗
