His laughter broke the silence that had settled over the room. For his laugh wasn't one of joy, but one of nervousness. He sat there with Avery, a girl whom he had recently met. Her eyes were as radiant as the stars in the sky. Her hair smelled like freshly picked roses. Most of all, Greyson loved how comfortable he felt around her. It felt like he had known her for years instead of a mere 4 weeks. In that short period of time, he felt so many strong emotions for her. There was always a sense of joy present whether he was hanging out, talking on the phone, or even just texting her. But there was also a form of sadness for his heart ached because he missed her so much when they weren't together.

When Greyson is with her, his world just stops spinning and all his focus is on her. The thought of Avery just consumed every fiber of his being. She was all he could think about on a daily basis. As he sat there with her on that love seat couch, watching her favorite movie, She's the Man, he couldn't take his eyes off her.

"She is just so breath-taking." Greyson thought to himself.

Avery sees him looking at her and she blushes deep red. She kept wishing and hoping that he would ask her out. She could tell though that he was nervous about saying the wrong thing, so she was skeptical about it. To reassure him, she reached over and laced her fingers around his. She repositioned herself so that she was curled up into his side, with her head resting on his torso. Avery felt Greyson's heart rate escalate and pound hard against his chest.

As the movie neared its end, they both felt a wave of sadness just wash over them because they knew that Avery would have to leave soon. Greyson wished that she lived in the same town as him so that he could see her more than once a week. Long distance is trying at times, but it does make the heart grow fonder. He held her tighter to his side, silently vowing that he would never let go.

She whispers in his ear, "I don't want to leave..."

"I don't want you to leave either. I never want you to leave." He whispered back.

She smiles up at him through her tears. They were tears of joy and heartache because even though she would have to wait another week or so to see his face, at that moment in time is when she knew that she loved him. He made her feel like she was the only girl in the world. One look was all it took. She saw him on that one Friday night and man she was hooked. She sat there in his arms just reminiscing about the weekend they met.

When Avery first saw him, she thought, "Okay... There is no way that he is single."

She tried not to get attached to him that weekend, but she just couldn't shake this feeling of excitement and happiness that she always had when she was near him. They made jokes and flirted a lot in those two days together. She really got to know who he was as a person by watching him interact with his friends. She came to the conclusion that Greyson was such a gentleman. He had respect for others and he really listened when she talked to him.

"Do you have to use the restroom before you leave?" Greyson asks her.

She broke out of her trance and said, "What did you say?"

He laughs a bit, "Do you have to use the restroom before you leave?"

"Yes I do. I will be right back." she says blushing once more.

She gets finished in the bathroom and rushes back down to the living room just so she could have as much time as possible with him. She goes and sits down again next to Greyson on the loveseat.

Greyson turns to her and takes a deep breath, "Avery, there is something I have been meaning to ask you for a while now, but I wasn't quite sure what to say. So I am just going to come right out and say it. Would you like to go out with me?"

"Of course. I would love to." She says with biggest smile on her face.

He embraces her in a hug and they stay like that for what seems like forever. She starts to pull away and he pulls her in to kiss her. Sparks were flying everywhere for this was the best first kiss she could have ever dreamed of. Avery was always reading books and when the characters kiss, it was always said that sparks would fly. Those books were fiction and made up, but as soon as her lips met his, she knew in her heart that this was real. That what she was feeling was real. He breaks the kiss and smiles at her.

"Wow. That was just wow." She says with a look of amazement on her face.

He winks at her and says, "That will leave you with something to think about till we see each other next time."

She just blushes and gives him another hug. They say a long, heartfelt goodbye.

The whole way home fromhis house, at random times she would just say, "He's my boyfriend!" followed bya squeal. Avery was just so excited to finally be able to call him hers.
